I put off reading this book for the longest time simply because I adored the movie. More often the book is so much better, but I didn't want anything to ruin the movie experience for me. This adaptation was pretty close, and the changes that were made, made the movie all the better.

While this wasn't my favorite by this author, it's clear she's becoming a favorite of mine. I'm really impressed by her character development. It's not like she takes an idea, a story, and then creates characters, to me, it seems she creates the characters, then tells their story. A hard thing to do.

This was on my #MustReads2022 list (which is still in the works honestly). While I enjoyed this, it wasn't particularly a standout. There's no shocking twist, it's mainly all suspense. A popcorn thriller as they say, but it's no J.D. Barker. 🤷‍♀️

This wasn't my favorite in the series so far, but still a good story. I'm glad that Heather Morris is taking the time to research and tell these experiences that would otherwise die with those that lived them.
