TheAromaofBooks This book is so thought-provoking!! I did not enjoy the other books in the series as well as I felt they lacked the creepy “this could be your future“ vibe that this book exudes so well. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts when you get to them!! 9mo

Cinfhen Did you grow up in the US @Bluebird ? I feel like it was a staple during the 90‘s and aughts when my kiddos were in school and actually my son was taught the Giver in Israel as part of his English for English speakers class in 9th grade. 9mo

Bluebird @Cinfhen yes, California. I just looked up the book and see it was written in 1993. That explains it, it was written well past my school days 😂 9mo
