I loved the Six of Crows duology but have never read the original trilogy so have used an audible credit to get started. I‘m enjoying it enough so far, though it‘s a little trope heavy.

I thought this would be 5 ⭐, but the frequent mentions of 'when I was researching this book' (or similar) took me out of the story, which is disappointing. The last 2 parts aren't as interesting as the first two as well, but still a pick!

pickThe Handmaid's Tale meets Hunger Games in this fast-paced horror/thriller/dystopian tale.
Even though I found the love story to feel rushed, the rest of this story was excellent. There were parts that made me furious with the characters, and parts that grossed me out, but I couldn't stop listening because it was so good.
