This was an insightful self help book on love! As someone who is perpetually single, I need all the help I can get.

It is very easy to feel powerless when it comes to love, but this book tells you what you can do to improve your love life and relationships.

The book is very accessible and is written in an easy to understand manner.

After hearing the synopsis, reading the first few chapters and skimming the rest, I think I have the basic idea: You'll be happier and more successful if you aim for an ideal but measure yourself by your progress, not by how far you are from the ideal, like heading towards the horizon to give you direction, not because you expect to reach it. Decent idea, but it doesn't need this many words to convey it.

This was my #BookSpin for March. It was good, but I felt like a lot of the points the author's were trying to make didn't go deep enough. This whole book could have been a YouTube video. There were some funny bits of trivia, though. #2025OffMyShelf

“It means that if we want silence, we must actively seek it out, for instance by taking vacations without cell phones...“
After getting a bunch of non-urgent work-related texts, I found out how to temporarily block specific phone numbers while still getting texts & calls from people I actually want to talk to while I'm on vacation. I even set it up to auto activate on the weekends! Just because I have a phone, doesn't mean I'm accessible 24/7!

I was really sad that I wasn‘t reading fiction, but I loved this self help book. 💚

The Pivot Year | Brianna Wiest

The ultimate page-a-day read. Finished one day before the end of the year because this year had one extra day. I enjoyed this, some days more than others, but i think reading it again in a couple years would bring more poignant moments to light. #76-2024

Tonight I felt like I needed some healing, sometimes our inner child needs it: Give it the attention it deserves when no one back then recognized it‘s pain.
