I have been sick since 2026 started and haven‘t felt like reading at all. 😭 I did finally decide to pick up this short and probably fluffy book to see if I‘m still capable of reading despite feeling like trash.

Finished in November. Can‘t remember many details but it was a light, fun read. I think I saw other posts on Litsy about the series. Which I‘m always looking for something fun to read at night (I try to read NF during the day & any reading at night I try to keep to fiction). If you‘re a fan of the Evie Dunmore series this pretty similar.

Fun, quick, mindless read. Read in October & sadly forget anything significant from the book. It served its purpose of reading something light at night & not doomscrolling. Reminded me of the Evie Dunmore series.

From "The Christmas I Stole a Viscount" - a free holiday novella if you sign up for Vasti's newsletter. I loved the tagged book and from the first line of this one, I think it's also going to be a hoot!

Another super-belated review—I read this back in August.
This is Heyer, so of course it was a delight. Ancilla, companion-governess and at 28, “too old” to consider romance didn‘t factor “the Nonesuch” into her plans… The two leads are as likable, witty, and intelligent as Ancilla‘s spoiled charge, Tiffany, is annoying. The misunderstanding in the middle is far too easily resolved, but I liked the characters too much for me to be put off by it.⤵️

I always say that historical romance isn't my favorite subgenre but apparently I love them as long as there is some madcap adventure plot because Earl Crush stole the show last quarter and joined A Shore Thing in the next round. Absolutely adored it. Rules for Ghosting is my pick for October, it was the perfect mix of introspection, romance, and paranormal.

⭐️⭐️
I would like to start by saying that I hate this title *so* very much 😂 I wish I had judged the book by its title because this was not the best.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but this did not hit the same. The middle was so long & boring, and that was the whole time the two main characters were together, so that wasn‘t great.
I will read the next book in the series to see Simon‘s story, but my expectations are tempered.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book was just good to read.
It is light and happy, all the characters are immensely likeable, and there is so much emotional introspection from all five of the "main" people, it's just enjoyable.
There is also a focus on male friendship and found family that is rarely shown, and of true family loving each other while fundamentally, though not purposely, misunderstanding each other.
If you need a fun, happy break, I recommend this!

Going away for one night, brought 4 books #iykyk I loved this very spicy very exciting historical romance thank you to all the Littens who recommended it
