I‘ve been dying to get my hands on this book but so far I‘ve just had to settle for the Netflix show, what a treat it was! I delighted in seeing the author Samin enjoy food with such gusto!

lynneamch Oooh! Thank you. I finally got a Netflix account and didn't know about this yet. Food shows (and Jeopardy) are about the only tv that hubs and I watch together, though I did get him hooked on The Queen's Gambit. 3y

mrp27 @lynneamch I loved Queens Gambit and I really enjoyed Salt Fat Acid Heat. My only complaint was it was too short, only 4 episodes and I could have watched more. 3y

Prairiegirl_reading The barefoot contessa has never failed me. I also LOVE Jacques Pepin. My favourite baking cookbook is called Flapper Pie and a Blue Prairie Sky, so many classic recipes that my grandmothers used to bake. It made me tear up a bit. 3y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @SimplyME I actually call it a buttermilk pie, but most people say chess pie! It‘s 3 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, 1 stick of butter, 3 tsp flour, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 cup buttermilk. It makes two! Very unhealthy, but very good! I only make them once a year!! Lol and thank you!! ❤️❤️ (edited) 6y
