I only completed 5 books but Sept was a great reading month: I spent lots of time with my #ReadingBuddy Minerva both indoors & out; I read more books by women than men; 2 of them were mysteries instead of my usual #SFF; I finally got to read SRD‘s The War Within after waiting for it for months; & now that my hubby has a 2 book lead, my #DiscworldReread is back on! #CatwithBook #CatsofLitsy #SelfReflection #SeptemberStats #SelfImprovementSept

rather_be_reading ONLY 5 is AWESOME! 1mo

TK-421 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Thanks! Until you pointed it out I didn‘t realize that my post worked for today‘s Fall is Booked prompt! 😂 1mo
TK-421 @wanderinglynn Thanks 😊 I know, I need to worry less about how many books I read in a month. You‘re right that no matter the quantity just the act of reading a book is awesome 🙌 1mo
TK-421 @OriginalCyn620 Thank you! 😺 1mo

September wasn‘t the best month for me. I didn‘t read much, partly because I didn‘t really like any of the books I read. All 2 or 3 star reads, with the exception of the tagged one - that one I looooved 💜.

Kalalalatja That‘s too bad! A lot of my reading time this month was spent on a bad book, too, and looking back, I wish I had bailed 😅 1mo
LeeRHarry I had similar luck - hopefully October will be a better month for us 😊 1mo
BarbaraBB @Kalalalatja O really? Which one? 1mo

Liz_M You didn't like Severence? Maybe I won't try to hunt it down. 1mo
BarbaraBB @LeeRHarry Let‘s hope so indeed, it gets a bit frustrating, reading disappointing books! 1mo
BarbaraBB @Liz_M I did like it, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. I don‘t remember much about it even now! 1mo
Kalalalatja This 👉 I think part of it was timing, but it just bored me, and felt like a chore I had to get through 1mo

OK, so yeah, I read a lot of graphic novels during September and did two rereads but I had fun. I'm still behind on my 2019 reading challenge but with 3 months to go and 49 books to go to reach my target, I should be fine 😊

Lindy 👏 😃 1mo
ljuliel Did you see any type of theme or similarities with the Doig , Cather and Frazier ? I really like Doig‘s writing , have only read a half of a Cather book but not sure why I never finished it, as her writing was good. The Frazier sounds good. How‘d you like it , and didn‘t he write Cold Mountain ? I wasn‘t overly thrilled with that book. 1mo
Lcsmcat @ljuliel Yes, they are very similar writers. Although from different parts of the country, the land for each is very important- a character in and of itself. Also I find particularly Doig and Frazier to be introspective writers. Cather is too, but to a lesser degree perhaps. 1mo
Lcsmcat @ljuliel And yes, Frazier wrote Cold Mountain. 1mo
