The Library Book is a history of the Los Angeles Public Library, and in particular the Central Library building, which was heavily damaged in a 1986 fire. I really enjoyed this book, though I think the review I read emphasized the arson investigation as a larger part of the book (I found that section to be much less interesting than expected).
