I‘m sharing this merch that I ordered from Taylor Bradshaw, an independent folk musician from NYC. He just made some new necklaces. One is a wildflower necklace with real wildflowers and the other is a Birch Leaf necklace made with real leaves. He hasn‘t been signed to a record label yet. I‘ve been supporting him for a while after I saw him advertising his music on Facebook and I feel really good about it.

#tuesdaytunes

kelli7990 He has a Facebook page and a YouTube channel. I just really like his vibe. I would like to support more independent musicians and help make their dreams come true but there‘s only so many hours in the day to listen to music and I might not like all of the music that I see being advertised on Facebook so I‘m being very selective about who I support. It‘s important to me that I genuinely like the musicians I‘m supporting. 2w
TieDyeDude Very cool. It\'s nice when you can direct support an artist that is important to you. That\'s some unique merch, too! 1w

I saw this on Facebook yesterday in my newsfeed and wanted to share it for #tuesdaytunes. I didn‘t know that Nirvana and RuPaul took a picture together.

CBee There‘s also a photo of Ru holding Frances, Kurt and Courtney‘s baby - it‘s a good one ♥️ 4w

I find it absolutely fascinating that there are millions of little microbes living inside of us, that have such an impact on our wellbeing.

At the end of the book I realised that this information is almost a decade old, so I'm interested to see how things have changed since then.

If anyone has any suggestions on a more recent book, I'll appreciate suggestions.

I normally listen to instrumental music when reading. I have created a few playlists for specific books. One where the MC was a musician & each chapter title was a song. And one series that features a fictional band that discuss a lot of music. But I have more playlists for writing than reading.

I always have music playing & listen to a bit of everything. But my faves are grunge, punk, 90s rock, & show tunes.

TieDyeDude Thanks for sharing. I feel like if I have something to block out, I can focus better on my reading. I used to tune in the radio to whatever station, but since we don't have a stereo set up so everything is streaming, I have to pick something, which is usually classical. 4w

I have something else to share for #tuesdaytunes. I just saw this article about Linkin Park. It says that Sum 41 broke up last year. I didn‘t even know they were still making music.

https://metaladdicts.com/is-sum-41s-deryck-whibley-the-new-linkin-park-singer-fa...

kelli7990 I mean, I like Sum 41 but Deryck doesn‘t have the same voice as Chester. A lot of bands replace singers and Linkin Park wouldn‘t be any different. I would be open to hearing how new music from them might sound with a new singer. We‘ll just have to see what happens. 1mo
TieDyeDude That'll be an interesting change. I wasn't aware that Sum 41 broke up. I wonder if Linkin Park is planning new music, or if this is just so they can tour again. 4w

Since I‘m talking about music today, I was wondering last night if Slipknot ever made any concert films because I‘ve listened to the live albums that they‘ve released and I found 2 concert films that they did a long time ago on Amazon Prime Video. Yay! I‘m looking forward to watching these. I‘ve listened to the live albums so I know how they sound live but watching them will be different.

TieDyeDude That's cool. I don't see a lot of concert films these days. I can't remember the last one I watched before Elton John's farewell tour on Disney+ (edited) 1mo

I saw this template on my Instagram stories and decided to fill it out and it works for today since it‘s all about music. This was fun. My background I used is a Cross stitch image I did on my Cross Stitch app. The image definitely looks like it could be on a blanket or something.

TieDyeDude Billy Gilman, wow! Haven't heard that name in a long time 😅

I got to see Linkin Park with Jay-Z at the Live 8 show in Philadelphia. It was epic!

I filled this out as well. I think I'll post it for #tuesdaytunes next week!

If you want to read various case studies then it is okay but it's not in depth and certainly I loved hallucinations by Oliver Sacks more

This book was a lot more interesting than I expected. It is a brief, captivating and adventurous history of how hormones and our biochemistry have been discovered and why these powerful chemical substances are mysteriously responsible for what makes us humans and for every aspect in our lives: behaviour, sleep, metabolism, immunity, sex, moods, drive and motivation.
