#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.81-end /review - wow a lot happened in this book, and in these last few chapters! Aelin and her court, have returned to Terrasen. They have their work cut out for them fighting for what is hers. The king of Adarlan is dead - or so they believe. I want to see a body before I make up my mind. Dorian is now King and has been left in Adarlan. I worry about how he‘ll get on by himself. ⬇️

StayCurious Chaol and Nesryn are off on their own adventure to heal Chaol‘s legs. I like him a bit better now but do we think he really needs his own book? Meh. I want - as always - more witches. How will Manon go forward? Will she disobey her grandmother? Try to over turn her? I‘m most interested in her story. 3d

BarkingMadRead I‘m obsessed with Manon, I hope we get plenty of her in future! 3d

StayCurious Overall I enjoyed this book most so far out of the series. It solved some things but left so many things up in the air that I‘m looking forward to the next instalment. 3d

5feet.of.fury This was my favorite one so far. The most cohesive, a good ending to this book and transition to the next. 3d

Littlewolf1 @5feet.of.fury I completely agree. When Rowan shows up and she runs into his arms… It was perfect. The fact that Dorian is able to get free and then Manon shows up is even better. 3d

StayCurious @mcctrish they believe the King is dead - that he died when the glass castle shattered- but I don‘t know if he is. There wasn‘t enough closure there. 3d

StayCurious @mcctrish I think he is hiding out with Dorian‘s mother in the mountains or something. She took him away when things started getting dodgy in the capital 3d

#LittensLoveSJM Hi friends, I know we still have a few chapters left of Queen of Shadows but I wanted to let you know of a change in reading plan. Originally we were going to read Tower of Dawn first b/c a few sources online mentioned it would be a more emotional way to go into the final book of the series. I‘ve changed my mind and decided we will read in publication order -which means Empire of Storms first-to avoid spoilers for us ToG virgins⬇️

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.71-80: Hold on…trying to catch my breath. What a whirlwind few chapters! Hands down - best part was Lysandra kicking ass as a ghost leopard. Question: do we really believe the King was mostly innocent in all his crimes? That he was just a pawn? Do we think he‘s really dead? I guess they have to go after Perrington now. I‘m very interested in how things will be now that magic has returned.

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.61-70: yikes things are getting tense! Where‘s Lorcan!? That betraying bastard - let me at ‘im! I honestly don‘t know how our team will get out of this one. SJM is really good at making you hate the villain and boy do we hate the King of Adarlan! Pure evil and he always seems to be one step ahead of our heroes. How does he do it and will he succeed this time?

Butterfinger When Lysandra was leaving the city, I was still expecting Aerobynn to pop up. "You thought you could kill me." I would have lost it. I know the head was chopped off, but I was still expecting him. Lorcan tricked them. Poor, poor Elide. 2w

I‘m glad Manon got the message out, I was so baffled why Chaol and Aelin were still talking about killing Dorian when Aelin had seen Manon talk to him… I feel like Aelin shouldn‘t have seen it, because she reacted in the moment & then suddenly “ok which one of us is doing the kill shot” 😵‍💫 2w

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.51-60: wow! That fight scene was epic! Seeing our two girls come to blows was everything we needed. And then seeing Aelin save Manon so unexpectedly- our queen is full of surprises. Those two need to become allies and take out Manon‘s horrible grandmother and the awful king. I‘m shipping them as besties for sure. 💕⬇️

StayCurious Were we shocked that Chaol went back to kill Dorian? I guess seeing him in person really got across the fact that he‘s gone. Although Manon seemed to bring Dorian back to himself for a bit. These chapters were really good. Things are getting really interesting! 3w

mcctrish I feel like Chaol has lost the plot. I was so tense during this fight scene but then I thought there are too many books left and these are all key characters, we can‘t lose them now 3w

Butterfinger @mcctrish Chaol is not the only one. I was getting very confused. Sin Eater??? Ren?? Kaltain's fire. I know it is because I don't read it straight through, and I do start eventually remembering. I feel like I need to take notes. 3w

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG QueenofShadows Ch.41-50: wow! I can‘t quite believe what happened to Arobynne-When he slipped the ring on Aelin‘s finger, my heart nearly stopped. Dorian under Valg control is bad enough. His chapters are hard to read -but to think of the Queen being a puppet - nope. Not having it. And neither is she apparently 🙌 I think she‘s going to need to keep Aedion in the loop though for future plans. He‘s going to get pissy otherwise

I can‘t even begin to imagine the horrors they‘ve suffered- I‘m sure Elide only saw the surface in that brief glimpse. Manon needs to step up and take care of business. And protect those under her jurisdiction. ⬇️

StayCurious There‘s a joke in the ToG universe that Aelin always has grand plans but the others just kinda know they‘re going to go wrong somehow so they go along to watch her back. I feel like this evening with Arobynne will be like that - definitely not cut and dry. Will he finally get what‘s coming to him? 1mo

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.21-30: oh, things are getting good! Manon has taken Elide as a witchling under her wing - but what will her grandmother say? Manon is showing too much softness, too much caring - at least in the eyes of that old bat. Aedion meets Rowan and it‘s all about the Alphas. Poor Aedion realizes he‘s been beaten by Rowan to the blood oath. This is a big deal - this was Aedion‘s calling. I felt bad for him. ⬇️

StayCurious But at least he made up with Aelin quickly. Rowan has developed feelings for Aelin - but he‘s going to fight them because of reasons. Chaol is still an ass. No news there. And poor Dorian is still trapped😣 - can‘t wait to read more! (edited) 2mo

5feet.of.fury I like the way Dorian‘s chapters are done, it makes Aelin & Chaol‘s disagreement more impactful. His POV is very bleak & he‘s mostly gone, but you do get that shred of humanity shown, but the he wishes Aelin killed him so … 1mo

mcctrish I wonder if they free magic could Dorian blast the demon out of him? Also Chaol hates himself so much he can‘t deal with anything else - I‘m glad Nes gives him a wide berth because she doesn‘t need that. I feel like Manon and Asterin are close to figuring out what they need to do to survive and it‘s got nothing to do with the current shit show in the mountain or grandma 1mo

First, when your suspicious and smelly “allies” wants to experiment on you with demons from another world - you say no. Hands down, claws out. Manon needs to find a way out of this mess or all the witches will pay. Her grandmother sending threats through the mail is annoying. Down with grandma! ⬇️

StayCurious Second - thank goodness Aelin was able to get Aedion out. She saw for herself what‘s happened to Dorian. Is there a way to get him back? What a tense rescue! Third: Chaol is still an ass. He‘s a jerk to Nesryn and Aelin. He realizes he‘s being a jerk and he keeps on being a jerk. I hope something happens that snaps him out of it. 2mo

mcctrish Now I don‘t really understand how Valg impregnation works but putting a stone in your belly does not sound like the full procedure. The yellowlegs are literally insane for volunteering. I want more Elide. And Abraxos. There is something left of Dorian since he didn‘t fight to come forward for Aelin, it can‘t be the end of him already. Chaol is going to break his neck when he falls off his moral high horse 2mo

5feet.of.fury The rescue was so good! Chaol really was showing his whole ass in these chapters/ calling Aelin a liar, saying Aelin isn‘t bothered by killing people. Like, bud what do you think you‘re carrying a sword for? And trying to be a revolutionary? Gonna have to get your hands dirty at some point. But I understand not wanting to give up on Dorian 2mo
