WLP, my September #Bookspin, made me not want to vacation. I enjoyed Ikenga, which was my #aam pick.
I have about 3 days to finish Scatterlings before my book club meeting. I‘m just over halfway through. Sometimes I resist an “assigned” book even when I totally picked it. 🤷🏼♀️
Up next, horror. Not sure which book as sometimes library due dates decide things.

I‘ve had n urge to reread All Quiet on the Western Front (weird, I know), so I started that late last night. Ghosts is my library audiobook that is due back in a week, so I‘ll be listening to that next. I decided on some lighter fare for this year‘s Banned Books Week for my mental health so I may or may not relisten to To Kill a Mockingbird. #weeklyforecast
The background is the Welsh countryside as seen from the train to Chester and Gladstone‘s Library. I ended up not seeing as much as I would have liked due to my own shenanigans, but what I saw was lovely. Anyway, here‘s what‘s on tap this week…
Green Mansions is a little florid and may take me a while to read. Isabel Allende is back on the menu! Happiness Falls is very interesting.
#weeklyforecast
Let‘s see how the week goes, my son and gf are arriving today and we have lots of friends from the States visiting this week too. Can‘t wait for #BookSpin #DoubleSpin

I know the graphic is a little busy, but it‘s for the previous two weeks. I think I have my reading mojo back. Everything I read was a pick.
I decided to DNF the La Plante. I‘m enjoying the show and I‘m not sure I want to read the series.
I‘m sure The Stand will get carried over to October, but I hope to finish the others. I need to focus on Scatterlings as it‘s my pick for an IRL book club that I‘m joining at a ⬇️
Keeping things super simple this week: the audiobook currently in progress and the eARC that publishes on October 3rd. Between month-end close and this wave of depression, these may be all I can handle. #weeklyforecast
It‘s finally time! I leave tomorrow night for Gladstone‘s Library, by way of Bath. I will probably read more than this, which I‘ll play by ear based on my mood. It‘s also possible I will acquire some books along the way…

At the moment I‘m choosing from this stack to take to Gladstone‘s on Thursday. I‘m out on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, so may squeeze something in today/tomorrow.
Looking forward to catching up, reading and cake and food ♥️
Tonight begins the holiest day of the Jewish year - Yom Kippur and Friday is another Jewish holiday- Sukkot. So I‘m keeping my forecast light. For all who celebrate YK may you be inscribed in the Book of Life and find all your prayers and hopes answered. Peace and love to all✌🏽☮️🕊️🩷
Just a random group of books that have been lurking on my TBR!
#weeklyforecast
Reading the Osman at the moment- will probably get to Game of Lies this week. Trying to plan something in the middle 🤷♀️
I finished Persephone Rising last night thanks to airplane mode on my phone preventing the audiobook from going back to the library. Lots in progress to try to finish this week. I think I‘m going to switch to audio for Rage Becomes Her. I don‘t know why I bother trying nonfiction in print. I almost always struggle, even if I am interested in the subject. 🤷🏻♀️ #weeklyforecast
Two new books added to the mix and a return to #LotRChapterADay
I think I may have told @Chrissyreadit the wrong Perez sisters book that I‘m reading, but I do plan to read them all eventually. We had a nice lunch with @wanderinglynn talking about books!
Meanwhile, I‘m back on the baseball train for on more week, but I figured out how to donate tickets I can‘t use. I‘m also preparing for another adventure the following week. 😃

I‘m so excited to start one of my #Roll100 books!
#BookReport #WeeklyForecast
Not much to report this week. I finished Giant Days Vol. 4, which is a reread.
I‘m still a little distracted and it shows in my growing stack of books in progress. There is nothing wrong with the books themselves. It‘s totally me.
Hope to get the top three read soonest so I can dive into The Covenant of Water. Continuing on with the LOTR buddy read with daughter and her boyfriend.
I have a week off from both baseball games and Lord of the Rings, so I‘ll fold Ten Women back into the mix. Though the stories are rather depressing, they‘re self contained, so I can jump in without much need to reorient myself.
I‘m making good progress on the other two and should be able to finish before they‘re due in twelve days.
This week also marks the return of the library‘s mystery book club from summer hiatus.
#weeklyforecast
I finished my audiobook in the wee hours of the morning and started a new one. I hope to finish Criminal today. There‘s a good chance I‘ll switch to audio to finish the Cleeves, but I haven‘t made up my mind. I don‘t care for the audio narrator, but I am also starting to lose patience with the characters. #weeklyforecast
#weeklyforecast
I‘m out Wednesday night with friends and away Thursday/Friday again with work so I‘m not anticipating a lot of reading 😞
This Friday night begins the Jewish New Year. so I‘m keeping my #WeeklyForecast limited.
For all those who celebrate Shana Tova U‘metukah 🍎🍯🕊️♥️☮️
I started The Gown and I‘m really loving it 🥰
#WeeklyForecast
I‘ve only got an hour left in The Early Risers, so I‘m looking forward to starting The Shepherd‘s Crown today at work and probably crying. 😂
#WeeklyForecast
I might finish some of these and I might pick up something else. That‘s how reading has been for me lately. Also, I have barely dipped into the Gaines, WLP, La Plante books. 🤷🏼♀️
#WeeklyForecast
Still need to pick A Spell back up, half way through ME, and Binti and Vibrant are my last two Booked23 for Summer.
Two of these are for September book clubs, and the Okorafor is for #authoramonth which is kinda like a book club. 😃
I‘m also still looking for homes for the bonus baseball tickets. Sometimes, like today, the home is with me. I‘m going by subway, so there will be reading time in transit.

All hail the King 😁 publishes Tuesday, I‘m away at a conference so probably won‘t get to until the weekend.
Starting Cat Step this morning.
Strong Female Character for the train/hotel.
I love that it‘s a new month which means lots of new releases and books to consider! This week however, I‘m focusing on books I meant to read but haven‘t gotten around to yet. And the Marie Antoinette is for #DramaQueen #TitlesAndTunes ☺️Ohhhh, I just realized THE GOWN might work as well😂 woohoo🙌🏻
#WeeklyForecast
Let‘s see how many of these I can finish before the end of August!
The audiobook Cindy recommended has a 12 week wait, so it won‘t work for month end. I‘m going to try the next Pendergast book instead and see how that goes. Cleveland Noir is the latest in the Akashic Noir series and my latest LibraryThing Early Reviewers win. I try to read those within 30 days of receipt, so that has to be my next print read. Wish me luck surviving month end. 😩
I‘m not sure if it was a good idea to add another WWII book to the mix, but we‘ll see how that goes.
Tomorrow is the first day of school in my county, so I‘ll need to readjust my schedule for certain trips to avoid pickup lines. 😃
I hope to get through at least five women before the end of the month. So far I‘ve read three.
#weeklyforecast
Only one more week until September #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin 🥳🥳
And of course can‘t wait for another awesome month of #TitleAndTunes #DramaQueen 🎭👑
This was a 💩 reading week. I have a mental block at the moment causing a real struggle. I finished one lackluster book, have to take 2 back to the library unread because there are wait lists for them, so back to the end of the line I go for those. If I don‘t finish the Russell today or tomorrow, that one goes back unfinished. I hate the audiobook narrator on the Cleeves, but I don‘t have print-reading time. 😭😭 #bookreport #weeklyforecast
It‘s good that I picked The Rose Code as my next mystery, even though the book club meeting isn‘t for a few weeks, because it‘s 646 pages!
Ten Women is for #womenintranslation month and #ReadingTheAmericas but it‘s a bit depressing so far.
Children of God is very interesting so far.
Frodo and company are about to leave The Shire.
#weeklyforecast
Posting early because I‘m off to Italy tomorrow morning and not sure how good my WiFi will be or my Litsying😉
I‘m taking two physical books, my Kindle and I have my Audible - hopefully I‘m covered
#WeeklyForecast
I‘ve been a fan of Fforde‘s since his first Thursday Next book, so I hope to get to Early Riser this week! 🤞🏻
#BookReport #WeeklyForecast
I wasn‘t feeling great so I didn‘t read loads and picked up lighter stuff. I enjoyed the first A to Z Mystery and added it my possible gift list for the nephew/niece. I reread volume 1 of Giant Days. ❤️ I didn‘t pick up The Stand, but will resume since I am feeling better. I might even finish it since I have a couple of extra days off this week. 🤞🏻
I also might have to squeeze in some library books. 🙂
I should finish RC today while waiting for laundry loads to dry, and I bumped my hold on the Fuller up to as soon as possible after deferring it for several weeks.
Having just got Bilbo there and back again, I‘m looking forward to his nephew‘s adventures. Likewise, but very different, the return of Jesuits in Space.
In the margins I‘m reading Silence of Bones. Plus whatever else may shake loose from Libby in the coming week.
#weeklyforecast
I don‘t know how much of this I‘ll finish, but if I don‘t get through my Up Next books this week, they‘ll have to go back to the library unread. Except for Criminal, they all have wait lists. 😩 #weeklyforecast
#weeklyforecast
The Hunger is a bit of a chunkster so will probably take most of the week.
The new Rose is out on Thursday so that will likely be next 😁
This is what I‘m aiming for this week…I‘ve already started Secluded Cabin , my first by Lisa Unger - I‘m liking it!
#WeeklyForecast
My #DoubleSpin , a #14books14weeks read, and a #NetGalley book all up next! 🤞🏻
#BookReport #WeeklyForecast
I enjoyed Scourge.
My book report/weekly forecast is mostly going to be The Stand for a bit. I‘m almost a 1/4 of the way through it and I‘m enjoying it. I have nearly finished Employer on audio, so the next Kate Burkholder is on deck.
📸: Red Panda at Indianapolis Zoo. This little guy likes to stay in the tree and play “Where‘s the Red Panda?” Luckily I stopped by as they were feeding him so I could see him fully.
Totally forgot to post yesterday. Didn‘t get nearly as much reading done this week as I wanted to, but some weeks are just like that. Bailey is having issues, so adjustments are being made which have cut into my reading time. We‘ll see how much I accomplish this week. ALL of my library holds came in within days of each other, so my original plan went out the window. 😂 #bookreport #weeklyforecast
This week‘s theme is tying up loose ends.
-Finishing books that have been sitting on “currently reading” for way too long
-Catching up with #CampLitsy
-Getting Bilbo and the dwarves out of Mirkwood
-Reading book one so I know what‘s going on when I read book two for book club later this month
#weeklyforecast
I‘m off on a little holiday in two weeks🤩Any guesses where I‘m headed?!? My upcoming reads holds a clue 😉
