Wow - this is so good. Devastatingly sad, super-intriguing on the ghosts part!

My friend had this to say: “For academics, overthinkers, obsessives, and fiction fans, this novel is a big celebration of all the things we like best.”

But sadly, this is not my kind of book. Does anyone else feel absolutely horrible abt DNF-ing a book a friend sent?! Oh, the anguish. On one hand, #getoveryourself! So the book isn‘t for me, that‘s ok! But… then. Was tempted to put So-So; but decided to go with my truth.

I enjoyed learning more about the Pack Library during the WPA days, the blue people of Kentucky, and … getting to know Cussy Mary aka Bluet. A satisfied read but a critical eye might ruin it. But hey! Giving it high marks for BOOKS 📚 and for PIE 🥧!!! I think this completes my #WiaN2022 #WhatsinaName #Challenge for 2022 🎉 #WiaN

In my quest to read everything by Sue Monk Kidd, because I really enjoyed her thoughts about how she came to write The Book of Longings. I set this as #FirstBook2022. Mostly because I had just lifted it off the shelf to fit #WiaN for Mythical Being category. And #ReadICT! But this had problems.
