rubyslippersreads @asiriusreader I got these at PetSmart. How long do the nail caps stay on your kitty? Mine have each already lost one. 🙀 7y

asiriusreader @rubyslippersreads when I had the vet do it the last time, they all stayed on for about 2 months, and then they started coming off. Maybe when a professional groomer/vet does it, there's a trick they know?? 7y

Leniverse I keep meaning to read that series, but then I end up with one of his other books instead. And they give me fierce book hangovers, so then I need a long break before I can try another. The Fifth Head of Cerberus had me in an otherworldly daze for weeks after I finished it. 7y

TobeyTheScavengerMonk @Leniverse Book hangover! Well put! I couldn't have said it better... Peace left me fundamentally unsettled for days after I finished it. I always say that remembering a Gene Wolfe book feels like remembering a dream. That being said The Book of the New Sun is one of the hands-down most brilliantly written works of literature I have ever read. Well worth carving out the time. 7y

Leniverse I do mean to read them eventually. More immediately I have "The Land Across" waiting to be read, hopefully this month. And yes, Gene Wolfe books do have a dream quality to them. Even when you read them. They mess with your head by doing things that make no sense but seem perfectly right there and then. 7y
