I was gonna try to read one book at a time but I just can't not have an ebook on standby. I've been curious about ayurveda for a long time and tried a few confusing books. This one is pretty straightforward so far and I'm excited to continue.

I am enjoying the #StoryGraph stats charts and just noticed that as a notoriously bad-at-nonfiction reader (who has no intention of improving herself by trying harder 🤦🏼♀️), this will be the most balanced I ever look: 2 books read, one was nonfiction (graphic memoir). ⚖️
(I will bet you a free book that at year-end I have only this 1 nonfiction book for the entire year! 😹)

The premise behind this book was to teach about the body‘s circadian rhythm and how it impacts each part of your day(when you sleep, when/what you eat, etc). A lot of was eye opening and made sense. I‘m just not convinced every person needs the exact same schedule - going to bed by 10:30pm and waking by 6am. However I do love the idea of being consistent and listening to your body. So those are the ideas I‘ll really take away from this

I just tagged a random book in hindi😂😂🤦
I don‘t know. I think there‘s some useful ideas for me in this book, but it would probably be more useful for me to actually work with a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine one-on-one. Taken in short book form, it felt like a lot of sweeping generalizations and broad prescriptive strokes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks @Emilymdxn for the tag 💕 @Eggs #wondrouswednesday
1 I've been a youth director for a year, and my church started the Growing Young program, so I read the book
2 Yes! I enjoy listening to them to get myself pumped for a lifestyle change I've already decided to make
3 Last summer I enjoyed the tagged book
4 Maybe the first year I had migraines and fibro, before I found audiobooks. I didn't read at all 😭

“More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.” Chopra.com
Excited to join the challenge and open my reading horizons!

Quick read on the basics of Ayurveda through the lens of maintaining *your* healthy weight. Quizzes, charts, trackers and graphs make the book accessible and actionable. Only took a few hours to read and I learned a lot - but the real test is practising the lessons described over the next few weeks. Wish me luck!
“...inner beautify is a spontaneous and effortless result of perfect balance of mind and body.”
Barring the unfortunate and cringe-worthy title, I‘m looking forward to learning more about Ayurveda and applying its teachings to my diet and overall wellness. Has anyone else read this or another Ayurvedic-based weight management primer?
