Doing #SeptStats today as the last day of the month is all about finishing 😊 I read a fair bit less this month —I blame Donald Trump😂 But these were all GOOD READS! #BestReadsOfSeptember = Hugo, Dickens, Lewis et al. #stats #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge @RealLifeReading

rabbitprincess Carlingwood library had its 50th anniversary celebrations today and I thought of you! 😊 8y
KVanRead Aw, how awesome, thanks! ❤️ That's terrific. Here's to the next 50!🎉 8y

Day30 #SeptemberPhotoChallenge #bestreadsofseptember #septemberstats Good reading month even being busy. 18 books finished (includes book of poetry & a cookbook for review) & 5 audio books (not counting an early bail). I started 3 books that are still in progress. So many great books & some good thrillers but my faves & the ones in my heart are the 2 listed & the awesome audio version of Sleeping Giants (a favorite July book).📚❤️#somethingforsept

Books_Wine_Repeat Good job! Sleeping Giants was one of my favorites this month. 👍 8y
Sue Yay, well done!! 8y
BethFishReads Sleeping Giants audio is fantastic! Great month 8y

RealLifeReading Great month! 8y
melbeautyandbooks Way to go! 8y
DebinHawaii @Books_Wine_Repeat @BethFishReads Thanks. Yes, I loved the book version of SG in July so much & heard from Litsy peeps how good the audio version was so I had to try it. I am glad I did both. Now I just want the next book! 😀👍 @Sue @RealLifeReading @melbeautyandbooks Thank you! 👍📚 @PurpleyPumpkin Thanks! The audio books have really upped my counts & I had a few big mindless projects, walking, & times I had time to listen rather than read.👍 8y

The first in Gail Carriger's follow up series was my favorite read of September, what's yours? The three to the right were on audiobook, and all fun to listen to. No real pans this month, though I certainly didn't finish everything I started!

And the Trees Crept In | Dawn Kurtagich

I read a lot of great books this month so it was hard to narrow down to just a few favorites. I loved all of these!

The Serpent King was amazing! I mistakenly read a very sad part of the book while eating lunch at work and had to use all my power not to ugly cry into my sandwich.

And the Trees Crept In and The Last Days of Jack Sparks were super creepy and dark. They'd be great spooky October reads! 👻

RealLifeReading Warren the 13th looks fun! Is that a kids book? 8y

Librariana You had me at "ugly cry". Sold! 8y
BekahB @RealLifeReading yep! I think it's for kids around 10 and older. Some kids might think ta a little creepy since it has a darker tone, but it's a really great adventure story. 😀 8y
BekahB @librariana it totally took me by surprise. It's a fantastic book! 8y
BekahB @BookishFeminist it's really good! I love a story that's bound up in superstition and family secrets. 8y
BekahB @BooksTeasAndBookishThings I know! I'm a sucker for a good cover and it's great when the actual book is just as fantastic. I think Warren the 13th is my favorite cover. The book is full of great illustrations! 😀 8y

September has been a very busy month at work, so my reading has definitely been down. As a result, my #bestreadsofseptember are my only reads of September. Hopefully, October will be better for me. #somethingforsept

September was a good month. Managed to finish Moby Dick - yay! - and really liked most of my reads. I did not finish The Interestings - it was boring, ironically. I also did not like The Call of Cthulhu, confirming that horror is not for me. The others were all good. I am happy with the page count, too, and the progress I made on my reading challenges as well - nine books toward two challenges!

Gezemice @Eyelit 😀☺️🤓 8y
GlitteryOtters Oh, thank goodness I am not the only one who didn't like The Interestings...! I finished it, but it was SUCH a slog through, I found it so boring and kept wondering when it would live up to its title. 😂 8y
Gezemice @GlitteryOtters It was my book club choice and I pretty much knew from the blurb that it was not my kind of book... but gave it a try nevertheless, only to find my feeling was right. 8y

These were my two favourite reads this month. HP was a reread of an old favourite. And Atonement turned out to be a new fav! #bestreadsofseptember #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #day30
