Hoping aboard that StoryGraph train! It looks promising, though I‘ve had some technological issues with it today. It‘s a good Goodreads substitute! I might even like it better. 😱

Suddenly it‘s everywhere: #StoryGraph! Out of FOMO I joined too - of course... 🤷🏻‍♀️. I need to explore a bit more but if you like to connect, my handle is similar to the one on Litsy!

ValerieAndBooks Hmm, will definitely have to check this out! 4y
LibrarianRyan Good for you. It just officially Launched on the 1st. It's been in beta for months. i have the same screen name and I love it! I love how it handles challenges. 4y
BarbaraBB I‘ll follow you @LibrarianRyan and didn‘t know it launched just now! So I am not the last one to find out 😉. What do you mean about challenges? I can only find the challenge ‘how many books do you want to read in 2021‘, same as on Goodreads. 4y

BarbaraBB @LibrarianRyan I already found out! Saw that @Hestapleton created a list for #Booked2021 over there. That is cool! 4y
Laughterhp Is there an app? Or is it just a website? 4y
Megabooks 🎉🎉🎉🎉 4y
BarbaraBB @Laughterhp there is an app but you have to download it from the website. That‘s quite easy https://app.thestorygraph.com/app 4y
LibrarianRyan @Laughterhp Yes there is an app, but it's not in your app store. There are instructions on how to put in on your mobil device. I have it and like it. 4y
LibrarianRyan @BarbaraBB Yeah. I went kind of out of control. I couldn't find the Booked challenge but I looked a few days ago. Off to look again. My reading challenge is also on there (It runs July -June) #BBRC or Birth and beyond Reading Challenge. 4y
LibrarianRyan @BarbaraBB @Hestapleton, foudn it. thanks for adding it over there. The Litsy graphic was kind of hard to read. What can I say my eyes are getting old. 4y
Hestapleton I‘m really loving the challenge tracking on story graph, if you couldn‘t tell 😂. I also added #readingasia2021. 4y
Laughterhp Thanks! I tried to look it up in the App Store. I‘ll have to check it out! @LibrarianRyan @BarbaraBB 4y
TrishB Thank you for Christmas post card which came today 😘😘 x 4y
BarbaraBB @TrishB wow... that took an awful long time! Something completely different: do you work at Liverpool University? My son is thinking about doing a five month exchange in Liverpool! Would you recommend it? 4y
BarbaraBB @Hestapleton I already joined! Thanks for setting that up. Challenges are really great over there! 4y
TrishB Yes I do 😁 I would recommend - obviously in normal times! What subjects is he looking at? You can email me if you want any further non public feedback and then you‘d have to visit him too! 4y
BarbaraBB @TrishB Obviously in normal times 😫. It would be five months from September. He studies IBA and his university and yours are partners, whatever that means. He has to apply for three uni‘s abroad, one of which will probably be Liverpool. I might email you if he needs more feedback, thanks for the offer! And yes, I would come and visit ❤️ (edited) 4y
TrishB 👍🏻 will keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 4y

How hide from oneself the fact that it all ends up on a rectangle of white fabric hung on a wall?

My movie is born first in my head, dies in paper; is resuscitated by the living persons and real objects I use, which are killed in film but, placed in a certain order and projected on to a screen, come to life again, like flowers in water.

This was ok. Outdated in some ways and a lot of it you can learn from various YouTube videos that show you how the shots are done in actual films. Also, too much talk of storyboards.

Pickpick

This is more philosophical than it is technical. Highly recommend if you‘re a fan of Bresson.

**Shameless Plug**

I am so incredibly proud of my son JB‘s latest short film. This was his final project in one of his EMF (Electronic Media & Film) classes this semester. He earned a 100% in the class. You‘ll see why when you watch the video. These kids are going places! So much work and effort went into this film, and it‘s incredible! Check it out!

First book of 2018. A bit pretentious, but one of those required texts for understanding film history and Bresson. Still, a nice way to start my reading for 2018.

A reminder to always give out hard copies of your Christmas list. Sent my parents a link to my Amazon Wish List, ended up rerouting them to my list from 7 years ago, when I was getting into screen writing. #merrychristmas
