A lot of people used Rhett and Scarlet for yesterday's #classiccharacters, but I'm using them for today's #flawedcharacters

BeckyK I feel like I need to confess that I've never read the book or watched the film 🙈 8y
BeththeBookDragon @Beckykearns My parents let me read it in 5th grade, after I saw part of the movie on tv. I'm still kind of shocked, but they decided not to censor anything I read. The closest they came was in high school when I wanted to read 8y
BeckyK @bethfriedman906 I think that's good :) you must have been able to deal with whatever you read, or be self aware enough to know when to not read or watch something! 8y
Lidia Scarlett was my classic character yesterday and I agree with you. She's also one of my favorite anti-heroines 8y

Day 4 of #OctPhotoChallenge: Sticking with a seasonal theme here for my favorite classic characters. It's hard to get more classic than Shakespeare. I love the Weird Sisters or Three Witches from Macbeth. They're the ones that really make this play with their sorcery and prophecies, and they were the inspiration for so many fictional witches. 🔮

Soubhiville Great choice! 8y
StephBengtson Also my fave. I'm re reading this now and wishing I had access to my "artistic" interpretation video I made in high achool 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Perfect for the season!! 8y

My favorite #ClassicCharacters are Scarlett and Rhett. They're both terrible human beings, but I just really love them. #OctPhotoChallenge

Some of my favorite #classiccharacters are the sisters from Little Women. Jo was always my favorite of course, but I loved how each sister brought their own personality and spunk to the family. #octphotochallenge

Bookworm83 The March girls are the best. 8y
BookWarriorPrincess93 Totally, agree with you about the March girls. Was a great read❤. 8y

I'm exceedingly fond of Sarah from A Little Princess. Brave, loyal, kind and caring, she is one of my favorite #classiccharacters.

One of my all-time favorite #classiccharacters is Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities. I can identify with his sense of loneliness, his feeling like an outsider on the fringe of everyone else's lives. He also gets to deliver some of literature's best lines. Every time I read this book, I find myself hoping that the end might change. It never does 😔. Pic is from the 1934 movie adaptation, with Ronald Colman as Carton. #octphotochallenge

ultrabookgeek Yes! I was obsessed with this novel and especially Sidney - the ending always kills me. 8y

My all time favourite classic character will always be Scarlett O'Hara. Maybe because her character has been portrayed so honestly and she is not the usual Perfect, kind, sweet tempered heroine like most.
