So before you decide if you should read this book, google Relf v Weinberger. This novel is inspired by that case. 😬

Our protagonist is Civil Townsend, a brand-new Black nurse in her early 20s who has secured a good gig with a federally-funded family planning clinic. She realizes that the instructions she is receiving about two of her very young patients are highly suspicious.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that when the secretary of health is talking about "curing " something that is hereditary, not curable & not a disease while saying that it destroys families and anyone with it can not contribute to the economy.......that's eugenics

WHAT THE ACTUAL FLYING 🤬?!
Sadly, given the state of affairs between men and women these days, I think this has just become the quiet part we don‘t actually say out loud. “Men‘s latent cruelty in courtship and women‘s receptivity to pain and domination as core heterosexual impulses.”

GingerAntics The Five Love Languages is a continuation of this theme! I KNEW I hated that book. 3mo

This poor girl had to endure so much at a young age. Heartbreaking but well written and intriguing story that will stick with me for awhile.❤️

My friend and I decided to do a book exchange where we both select and wrap twelve books for the other. Then each month we get to open and read our predetermined blind date book. 😁

This was the one she gave me for January. I've read Picoult before, but it's been many years. Seems this particular title has had some very mixed reviews, so here's hoping I end up falling in with those on the positive side. 😊🤞

wanderinglynn What a fun book exchange! 5mo
monkeygirlsmama @wanderinglynn It really was/is! I mean there's the excitement of seeing what she selected for me, but it was also stupid fun figuring out what books to give her. 5mo

Have YOU read this book?

Beautifully written with the main character, Rosanne, who you will love and who will pull at your heartstrings.

ONLY THE BEAUTIFUL is another marvelous, marvelous read by Susan Meissner that fans will not want to miss and one I didn‘t want to put down.

Enjoy, and have some tissues ready!! 5/5

I enjoyed the first half about Rosie more than the second half about Helen. Every other chapter time shifts & I enjoyed the “now“ more than the “before“ chapters. Set in Sonoma Valley, it was fun to read about the descriptions of the vineyard. I would read more of the author's novels when I'm in the mood for historical fiction. The main character has synesthesia which reminded me of YA novel A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass.
