My mom bought me this book that she read in the 80s. It helped her overcome the damaging parenting that she went through, particularly as a kid of an alcoholic. Reading this book with that context in mind made me grateful she broke the cycle of not treating you children as human beings and the normalizing of abusive behaviour as 'good parenting.' I wouldn't recommend this book in any other circumstance other than the one I read it under, though!

Two books, one from my TBR with dance or #Dancing in the title & the tagged book, read several years ago where the MC gets to be a last-minute replacement on Dancing with the Stars. Brought together by their flowy dance skirts. 💃🏻 ❤️💃🏻
I like this series - but why do they all end on cliffhangers?!?!
12-22-23: My 102nd finished book of 2023! Winter Stroll is book 2 in the Winter Street series. It takes place in early December in Nantucket during the Winter Stroll weekend. We are with the Quinn family once more. There is a new addition, and everyone is getting ready for her baptism. There are a lot of real life situations occurring in this novel. It is more dramatic than book 1 and leaves us on a cliffhanger. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣1️⃣0️⃣2️⃣
WINTER STROLL by Elin Hilderbrand, is full of drama and everyday struggles. The Quinns are good people, dealing with grief, betrayals, old loves, new loves, and addiction. It‘s a good second book in the WINTER series, a heartwarming read for the holiday season.
I liked this book. It was fun to read. I had read another book by this author and enjoyed it too. I like her style and the humor that she puts into the stories.
The MC ends up being a last minute replacement on Dancing With The Stars. Fun little read.
