I saw this picture on Facebook and wrote this #haiku about it. This one is dedicated to the #haikuhive.

I found a graphic on Facebook showing the bee hierarchy and I wanted to know if drone honeybees die after mating so I included that information from my Google search that I did too. I wanted to write a haiku about bees.

Bees have a hierarchy
Drone honeybees die after mating with the queen bee
because they ejaculate so hard that their penis gets
ripped off of their body
😳Wow. That sounds like it hurts 😳

I colored this picture on one of my coloring apps and it says “Don‘t worry, Bee happy”. It made me think of the #haikuhive and I wanted to write a #haiku about it in case anyone needs encouragement.

If y‘all are worried about anything at all then
🐝Don‘t worry, “Bee” happy 🐝
I know it‘s easier said than done

But everything will be alright
Brighter days are ahead
You can‘t have a rainbow without the rain

A wee coloring book purchase today in Bath, England

While it might not have been my favourite audio, I loved this book.
Some people might find it slow but I think the pacing and dreamlike quality of (most of) Robin McKinley‘s books are wonderful!

After the previous master and chalice are killed, a beekeeper/woodswoman becomes the chalice. She finds her way alongside a new master who has returned from the fire priests, with a little help from her bees and honey 🍯

Since so many of us are trying to cope with extreme heat, I thought I‘d share this ridiculously easy but very yummy summer treat!

Many thanks to @TheBookHippie for sharing the recipe for this shockingly delicious breakfast treat! Croissants, cream cheese, berries - warm and wonderful. My 4-year-old grandson liked "the hotness" ? and ate 2 big servings. ?

I think a tasty bagel sandwich with smoked salmon & caper-dill cream cheese with honey-mint lemonade shared with a friend outside in a tiny city garden counts as a #Picnic 🧺🍋🌱🍯🐝💛

That scene in the tagged book inspired me several years ago for my virtual foodie book club.
