Bookbuyingaddict Lessons in chemistry is a brilliant 🤩 book 📕 it‘s a slow burn but it does get better ❤️‍🩹 book choices and reading is such a personal thing ; sorrow and bliss also has amazing reviews haven‘t tried it yet but one man‘s / woman‘s pleasure is another‘s poison ☠️ 2y

Vansa @Karons1 I think it gets far worse. It starts off fine and then gets completely derailed.Sorrow and Bliss didn't even start off well.Ive listed out why I didn't like the book in my review! 2y

I enjoyed these books but the endings made me mad, they felt like such a cop out. Rather than make any real hard choices or have any characters die both authors gave everyone a happy ending 😡 I‘m all for happy endings but these were just too much 😑

I became angry with the wife for abandoning her husband who was serving time for a crime he didn‘t commit 😡

Vansa So so so glad to read this opinion.This book made me SO MAD for exactly the same reason- seriously? I'm supposed to fall sorry for this woman when the poor guy literally is in high security jail for a violent crime he is innocent of committing?and somehow the book wants me to think her problems are really major?What even was the weird ending,where he nearly sexually assaults her-to show us he's not that nice?So overhyped 2y

Vansa Also,she writes as if his stint in jail is super comfortable and he's totally fine-none of the horror and the violence of incarceration,made even worse by your innocence 2y
