Love love love! This book was amazing. She is honest and self deprecating. It is genuine and laugh out loud funny. She also talks about her hardships and her sick mother(that part was very hard for me). I already recommended this to my friends multiple times in the two days it took me to listen to it. I want to meet and hang out with her. The audiobook read by the author is fantastic. Seriously if you haven‘t already, check it out!

readordierachel Yay! Love her. 6y

Thank you for everyone who voted on my #makemeread pile! These were the top 3 by many votes, so they will be my priority once I dig through my library pile.
Thanks again @ReadingMermaid for starting this!

EadieB One of my favorite books He is know as The Charles Dickens of Barcelona. 6y
RebelReader I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon! I didn‘t know that he is known as the Dickens of Barcelona @EadieB I have never read Dickens, but don‘t tell @Kaye 😱😜😱 6y
EadieB @RebelReader Carlos Ruiz Zafron I think is better than the original Carlos Dickens. lol And your secret is safe with me! (edited) 6y

Kaye It‘s not a secret now since you tagged me. 😁. It‘s fine with me if people don‘t read or like Dickens. That‘s just something TCM likes to do to yank my chain. He cannot stand Dickens and I really like him so we tend to discuss it a lot. 😂 6y
RebelReader @Kaye I should at least sample him. I‘ve picked up Bleak House a few times, but never took it home with me. Is there one you recommend? 6y
Kaye I‘d go with David Copperfield or Great Expectations first. Those are my favorites. I also like Pickwick Club but it‘s a chunkster and quite wordy. I love books like that but I wouldn‘t choose it for your first Dickens. He‘s got quite a sense of humor and also so descriptive with his characters and their names. 6y

Book 2 of the #MakeMeRead readathon. A beautiful collection of short stories. Dubus' writing is lyrical and emotional and I cannot remember the last time I highlighted this many quotes in a book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A really unique read. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, but the story stands out and presents a lot of interesting characters. #makemeread book 1 done 4/5 ✨
