6/150 This was not what I expected, which was a retelling of The War of The Worlds. Instead it's a dive into various parts of H.G. Wells fictional worlds. Yes we get invading Martians, but also Dr Moreau (from The Island of..), Hawley Griffin (The Invisible Man), Dr Cavor and the cavorite sphere (The First Men In The Moon), the Selenites (also from First Men) and even the giant rats from The Food of the Gods.

#BiblioMAYnia Day 1: #SetInOuterSpace, the ending of this gorgeously-illustrated picture book has brought unbidden tears to my eyes. Similar to Berkeley Breathed‘s Pete and Pickles, this tale blindsides you. It amuses you in the beginning yet packs a punch in the end that pierces the heart in all its strangeness and truth. #MagnificentMarch Day 14: This one literally has the word #PieOnTheCover. This story has it all: moon-pie, milk, blue-coloured 999 Martians, a Grimble Grinder with a noisy tummy, and a friendly boy with a generous heart. I've been rereading these and have been looking forward to this one in particular. When I was in third grade we had an assignment to adapt a book into a screenplay and this was the book I chose. Too bad I don't have the screenplay anymore. 😆

Mars needs Moms! A SF book .This book is about a young boy name Milo , that at times he don‘t like his mom. He fall at sleep and dream that a space ship landed. The martians where looking for mom, since they are motherless. Milo watch how they took his mom. Milo goes after his mom , he looses his helmet and started fainting. His mom recues him . His mom faints then the martians take them back home. I‘m the end of the story they are back home.

This is a silly book about a little boy who was not very happy with his mom for bossing him around. Once he fell asleep, in a dream he was being robbed his of his mother by aliens from Mars he quickly realized how much he truly did love her and need her.

It's September 2 and we're finally getting close to that transition between summer and fall. The temps are going to fluctuate between mild and hot so I have no problem mixing apples and crabs in this photo.
