I watched the show originally and was really excited when I found out it was based on a book. It's the most casual use of fantasy I've ever read and it made it super easy to follow along. Manfred is a psychic who just moved to Midnight to start in someplace new and quickly fits in with the people who call it home. Each character has something a little different about them that makes them unique and perfect for Midnight.

That was a good way to end the book and the series. Although, Charlaine Harris said that it may not be the end. Either way, I liked how she wrapped up the stories for each character in a neat little bow. #charlaineharris #nightshift #midnighttexas

This book was even better than Midnight Crossroad. As soon as I began reading I was hooked. The new story immediately caught my attention. The introduction of a new mysterious character who that seemed to grow overnight was pretty cool. I love how his story was woven into the main story as a character that continued to be a mystery. The book took me a lot longer to finish than I planned. I‘m a big fan of Charlaine Harris‘ work, but for some reason this book began to drag a bit. I decided to push through because I really want to read the trilogy so, I finished it. I love when the author makes readers work for the big reveal. It was definitely worth the read.
