Bookwormjillk It was fun to revisit his earlier stories and see him start to play with some of his longer books and themes. My dad had the version with the eyeball hand on the cover when I was a kid and I always had nightmares about it. Also Children if the Corn was a sleepover favorite so yay for nostalgia. 10mo

AllDebooks I enjoyed this collection. As @Bookwormjillk said, it's fun seeing the formation of his longer works. Children of the corn was so creepy. X 10mo

TieDyeDude I was surprised to see him flirt with sci-fi with I Am the Doorway. He doesn't seem to play in that sandbox too often. I liked the "bad deal" stories, Quitters Inc, The Ledge, Lawnmower Man. Lawnmower, Trucks, and Mangler were pretty silly ? I found Last Rung ? maybe the most memorable. It had an aching sweetness to it, but I seem to like unrequited/unreciprocated love stories for some reason... 10mo

Balibee146 Oh I love that edition. I didn't pick up Night Shift last month sadly but I do like it as a collection. I really enjoy King short stories 😍 10mo

LoverOfLearning Just recently started reading SK! Long list of books to read 😩 10mo

kwmg40 I enjoyed these stories, especially because, as @Bookwormjillk mentioned, we can see themes that King expands on in future books. Like several of you here, I too found Children of the Corn very creepy. 10mo

Karkar A little late to the party. This is one of my favorite of SK‘s short story collections. So many great ones in this book! 10mo
