I‘m aiming for 4 challenges this year... not sure if I‘ll finish them all or not, because I‘m also aiming to read more for fun too.
But my attempts will be:
1 - My own #OurSharedShelf challenge... I think I‘ve read about 1/2 of the books this group has picked & I‘d like to prioritize the rest. Maybe aim for 1 a month, try to slowly make some headway.
2 - #MtTBR I failed this challenge last year. I found my other challenges pushed me... ⤵️
pickThis one has been sitting on my to-read list since it was picked for “Our Shared Shelf” maybe a year ago...maybe two...😬. I really need to make an effort to read all of the books Watson‘s group picks, because although I didn‘t know much about the group or artist before, I still enjoyed this memoir.

pick#OurSharedShelf #OSS Quite a unique read with a touch of true maliciousness wrapped in an emotional truth telling sheath. Also a bit of a comic book but I mean that in the most complimentary way. A violent, raw, charming, witty coming of age as trans tale. How did she squeeze it all into this light little package?

pickInitially, I was tearing along through this book, but at a certain point, I became frustrated with the book‘s progress. And then the author‘s genius dawned on me: my frustration was nowhere near the frustration suffered by the Radium Girls at the hands of a callous, uncaring industry and medical complex. Bravest women, ever! We would do well to heed the last sentence of the Postscript: “How quickly we forget.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #oursharedshelf
