Mehso-so

This was okay. I listened on #audio and likely wouldn‘t have stayed with it otherwise. No real new info, the parts the Dr. contributed were worthwhile and encouraging, the main author was a bit annoying and, honestly, sexist. This one hasn‘t aged well but the basic premise, keep moving, don‘t eat crap, and stay engaged with your community, is valid. I finished it at my gym that just opened! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Great progress!! And such a purple room!!! 11mo
Bookzombie That‘s a big PF. I just joined one here and it‘s not as big. Still purple, of course. Lol. 11mo

I did a good job of hitting my goals towards the end of the month (with the exception of 7+ hours of sleep nightly). I‘m going to keep my June goals for July and add hitting my step goal. Hopefully, I‘ll be able to turn the goals into habits.

wanderinglynn Awesome! Way to go! 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉 2y

With the exception of 4 bingos, I was successful hitting my April goals.
For May, I‘m increasing my step goal & adding a sleep goal.

This book was fantastic. Wittily written and full of scientific information for lay people.

Loved it. It is a different take on food.

It‘s hard to find a yoga class for true beginners. Nowadays YouTube helps but back “before times” this book was a great resource. I‘ve found other yoga books since then, some I‘ve liked more, but won‘t give this one up.

KathyWheeler I had that one too at one point, but it‘s been awhile. I like that, with YouTube, you can find routines that give you alternate ways of doing things if you have problem areas. 4y

I ‘ve kept a lot of training journals over the years from palm size spirals to phone apps. Analog works better for me and I find that the more detail I record, the more I am motivated.

Leaving behind the fourteener hiking books for the moment, the Swiss Ball was revolutionary in motivating me on strength training. I always did strength exercises to supplement another activity. Swiss Ball exercises are ones I actually enjoy.

Because I can‘t just do a sport or activity , I have to read about the sport or activity too.

Before the days of printing out trail guides from the internet-which tend to be current-we relied on books. The diminutive Pocket Slam was easy to slip into a backpack and didn‘t add much weight.

In the photo we‘re attempting an early spring ascent of Torreys Peak. Risk of avalanche halted us so we built a snowman instead and then turned back to the car.
