Pickpick

I went into this expecting a generic thriller, but it turned out to be rather good. The ending wandered into unlikely territory which spoilt it a little for me, but overall a good read. 4🌟

Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, Penguin Books (UK), for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley

Current audiobook. I've really been listening to a lot of audiobooks. It's just so calming to listen while driving. I seem to have the most time to myself in the car, so I might as well try to enjoy it. Just started this one this morning!

Not necessarily a thriller (a slow burn psychological character study) but still intriguing none the less. You keep reading because you want to know if the wife did murder her husband and, if so, why she remaining silent.

They put up the December BOTM selections super early, and I was glad to see two that I wanted! Also, they have Red White and Royal Blue and i was like, uhhhhh that came out in May??? But I guess it‘s a hardcover exclusive to BOTM as it originally came out in paperback. Anyway, looking forward to both of these!!

Just Before I Died | S. K. Tremayne

Pickpick

This was a brilliant novel, in the dark and atmospheric setting of a Dartmoor winter. I love S.K. Tremayne‘s voice - she paints really believable, flawed characters and always manages to weave an interesting narrative with plenty of twists and turns. I enjoyed this even more than ‘The Ice Twins‘, which has a similarly sinister, atmospheric backdrop. Highly recommended!

Another great book by these authors. I love how relatable Jessica (the main character) is to an average woman in her late 20‘s. This book was hard to stop listening to as it has so many twists and turns. If you are looking for a great psychological thriller look no further.
