3✨ it reminded me of other stories I read. Going into another place to find someone they care about and they meet common creatures like a rat, but also discovering unique creatures. It was a pretty cute story. I found myself chuckling at quite a few spots.

Love this series! This time, our fearless kitties are looking for the Orb of the present and their two friends who where kidnapped. Doubt seeps in when their friends are told by other animals that they won't be saved. Cute graphics and wonderful story.

I‘m gonna go with Geraldine Harris, who brought me the first real “high” fantasies that I picked and read all on my own as a kidlet. I re-read the first book (tagged) until it fell apart. She opened my mind and my world to amazing and wonderful and scary things and was the gateway to so many more astounding books and authors. There was something so unique and beautiful about her writing. 🥰

Thank you so much for this very fall swap box 🍁🍂. The books are spot on for autumn reading and I was very excited to see the Irish Cream hot chocolate. It‘s my favorite and hard to find. Thanks again and happy fall to you, Tanya! #fffs

The Girl and the Galdurian (Lightfall 1), by Tim Probert (2020)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Premise: An anxious girl teams up with an adventurous stranger to search for her missing wizard grandfather.

Review: This is an adorable graphic novel featuring charming characters and stunning illustrations. I have some quibbles about the plotting, mostly how book one ended without any resolution and I‘m still not sure what the stakes are. Cont.

Mattsbookaday But overall this was really lovely and I‘ll definitely read on.

Bookish Pair: For another gross-generational unlikely pairing fantasy graphic novel, Nimona by ND Stevenson (2015)

I felt that this volume was had a slower pace, and I mean SLOW, that I couldn't really get into this one as much as the last two volumes until I saw the Nightmare Knight towards the end.

I like the brief moment between him and Princess Parfait. I felt like they have a funny relationship and I'm hoping for more an unexpected friendship.

An island theme park, similar to West World or Jurassic Park but for Dungeons and Dragons and Fantasy lovers, has been hijacked by the creators and a force field is keeping the corporate owner out.

Addy is hired, along with a few mercenaries, to sneak in and get the shield removed.

The writing isn‘t great and it‘s a little predictable, but I still loved it for its many fandom references- unicorns, sphynx, dragons, LOTR and more!

The author traveled to every country in the world & this memoir is about creating your own quest & completing it. While I think he comes from a place of privilege to be able to encourage people to drop everything and follow their dreams, some of his tips were helpful. I love tangible goals, like visit all 50 states & read all Shakespeare‘s plays.

“The more prepared you are, more spontaneous you can be.”

“A measurable goal is a good companion.”

I absolutely am in love with Splashmaster, I know.. I know, he's the villain for this one but he's also so freaking adorbs but then again there's also the Nightmare Knight, who got me intrigued due to his one action so I came away liking the villains in this book a lot more than any of the other characters. Didn't like the new character but we'll see ..

Personally I want to see more of the Nightmare Knight 😂

Was able to stop in Wilmington (southern Vermont) yesterday to get a stamp on my Vermont Independent Bookstore Passport. What a sweet little town with a fabulous bookstore! Excited about these books. Miller, a Vermont author, wrote the tagged book which was sooo good and I encourage folks to check it out. Can‘t wait to check his newest one out. Hmmmm…can‘t remember how to tag. #TheMemoirsofStockholmSven

BarbaraBB Great haul! I loved the tagged book! 9mo
Suet624 @BarbaraBB thanks! And yes, I really like this author. 9mo
BooksandCoffee4Me Spent a wonderful two weeks at the Putney Inn in Putney, Vermont about ten years ago. Drove upstate to Lake Champlaigne (sp?). I would love to see Vermont in the fall! 9mo
Suet624 @BooksandCoffee4Me Hi Laurie, I live in northern Vermont and rarely get to the southern part of the state (which is where Wilmington is) so it's been a delight to do this Passport program and see towns I don't normally go to. For instance, I've never been to Putney even though I've lived here for almost 50 years. I lived right on Lake Champlain for about 20 years - a spectacular lake. Come to Vermont! Get in touch if you do! 9mo
