My daughter and I just read the first two books in this series and loved them. We are excited to see on the author‘s social media that he‘s working on the third!
Bea meets Cad, a Galdurian (whose race was supposedly extinct), and he helps her on a quest to find her grandfather, the PigWizard. Their mission becomes so much more when they realize there is a villain who wants to tamper with the artificial suns that keep Irpa in perpetual light.

Lovely story and gorgeous art 😍 Bea and her new friend Cad are on a mission to find her pig wizard grandfather, who has mysteriously left on an unexpected journey. The world-building is very cool - I love a good map and the landscapes are drawn beautifully.
I immediately requested the second book in this series from my library, can't wait to continue the adventure ☺️

If you loved the wholesome, nature-forward, beautiful full colour art of Pilu of the Woods and the Tea Dragon Society, and the rollicking shenanigans of Nimona, I think you'll love Lightfall. I certainly did! Have already placed a hold on Book Two at the library. Truly loveable characters, great adventure, gorgeous art style, empathetic portrayal of anxiety, bravery, joy and friendship.

My daughter and I both loved this one. The illustrations are beautiful and whimsical, I love the characters, and the story is entertaining. It was a fairly quick read, but I try to really take in the art as well. I added book 2 to my wish list for my daughter and I to share next 😊

Beautifully drawn and incredible world building. I loved how anxiety and panic attacks are woven in naturally as part of a character in a fantasy book. Really looking forward to book 2 which I think is coming out soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! This was a great read. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I loved how there was a great friendship that was able to stand up through all of this, and hope it does into the next book. ⬇

cwarnier The author/illustrator did a great job of showing how it is ok to have emotions, scared, sad, mad, anxious... . As well as how to overcome them, and help others overcome them.
There was also just the right amount of “darkness“ in this story to make it fun, but not to be scare those young readers.
I would recommend reading to to any young reader.

Wow, just wow. This book was so much fun. The girl is Bea, and she is an anxious little girl who takes on an unwanted quest to find her grandfather the “pig wizard”. Before her adventure gets started she meets Cab the last Galdurian. There are many aspects of this book that remind me of the Dark Crystal, and that is a complement. #LMPBC

Hello All, I know 3 of the 4 screen names for the MG GN #LMPBC group.

Above is a selection in my possession of MG GN for you all to look over. What the group wants most is what I will pick.

And Brittany I know u r interested in YA, so if u would like to do a private round of YA you and I can do that. I have some great choices. Even 2 hot summer titles that are not out yet.

LibrarianRyan Dang it, none of my tags stuck. There are times I hate the desk top app.

LibrarianRyan If anyone would want me to switch from MG GN to strait MG, as you may already know, I can 😁 3y
cwarnier I have not read any of these. Lightfall looks intersting.
I would be fine with doing a mix of MG and MG GN's. Not sure about anyone else though.

Deblovestoread @BrittanyReads @cwarnier Sorry my responses will be late for you guys. I am good with any of these and a mix between mg and mg gn would be fine with me. 3y

Okay ladies (if I have your pronouns wrong I‘m sorry. Please correct me). Here is what I have to offer for kids/YA GN. I‘ll tag them here and below since my lights give off a sepia tone. They are all some type of Fantasy.

4.5🌟 This book has lush, beautiful art and a fun tale that made me laugh out loud several times. The ending is a bit more abrupt than I'd like, but overall it was wonderful, and I will definitely be seeking out the next book. Also, as a woman with anxiety that was once a young girl with anxiety, I am so pleased with how this book portrayed the protagonist. I actually found myself getting emotional. Yes, you can be a hero and have anxiety!

Super fun middle grade graphic novel, the first publication for the newly launched HarperAlley imprint, about a young girl who sets off on the adventure of a lifetime after her grandfather goes missing. Along the way, she meets a Galdurian who interrupts his own quest to help her in hers, makes new friends & more than a few enemies. Loads of friendship, danger, hilarity, & adventuring delightfully told & gorgeously illustrated. Recommended.

This is a graphic novel. I think I may have a digital galley, but cant remember, but I love this cover. Makes me think of Amulet, and the one with the little girl and the weird deadly rabbits that I will remember name of the minute I hit post.
