so-so#ReadingAboutReading is usually my jam, but this one is more than a little pretentious without being particularly insightful. However, I love the acknowledgement of the creativity and experience we individually bring to the act of reading- conceiving of reading as a means of co-creation is straight up my alley. It goes quickly so if you're on the fence, I say go for it- and it made me want to re-read Anna Karenina and To the Lighthouse so win-win?

I've been listening to this book each morning on my way to school and continued this evening on my walk. The first part about the development of writing was interesting and not something I've read much about. The current section about how individuals learn to read is mostly review for me, but a good reminder as I consider how to best help the struggling readers in my classes.
