I'm on the last book of The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. Next up: the Last Chronicles. I'm glad I chose to reread all the books before finally tearing into the final volume of this epic series. I had forgotten so much! Each page reminds me why I fell in love with these books! The first book was still a bit difficult, but each new book draws me further into The Land. I anticipate a major #bookhangover afterward. #epicreread #slaythatseries

The hours at work are dragging & I think it's because I'm excited to get all comfy and ready for the #24in48 Readathon. I haven't finalize my TBR pile yet. I thought I did but I'm thinking of adding a couple of graphic novels to the mix. What are you all planning on reading? Do you have a variety of genres? I don't have audible anymore so I'll be reading all print and ebooks.

DGRachel I've decided to binge read Penny Reid - kind of a #slaythatseries readathon within the readathon. I may grab one of three library books if I need a break from #romantsy, but that's my plan. 😊 7y
mellisarock I added lots of books under 200 pages! 7y

Book 3 of the Neapolitan series is done! Still in love with the intense, emotional relationship of two Italian women now facing their adult years. I'm totally in love with the characters, even if I rarely agree with their actions. Not sure if #slaythatseries is still going on, but I continue to slay. 😉 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bk2. The main protagonist has made a decision in the love triangle and now ventures forth in some pretty unbelievable ways to find where her chosen has been taken. I always wonder why books never add when characters have to go to the bathroom or if they're eating in plot situations like this book. More action than the other but....

BookFreakOut I had to drag myself through this one and never read the 3rd. 😕 7y

Bk1. This was a very slow start to get into but once I did, I finished it very quickly and was caught up with the ideas in the plot. Then, Condie threw in something and all I kept thinking about was The Giver and it wouldn't go away. Main protagonist is female and develops evenly throughout the book. The love triangle is tropic YA and is the baseline for the entire plot.

Really enjoyed this book and hope there is more books coming in the series. This one is a modern twist of my favorite book (Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen) and I think it does it justice (Felt let down with Eligible last year)

Easy read and I was going through all the emotions while reading it. #MrDarcylove #currentread #slaythatseries #readingchallenges #Shadowloungereadathon

I liked but did not love this conclusion to the Shades of Magic series. The first book was fantastic in creating a new and magical world. The other two installments did a good job of expanding that world, but I would have preferred a closer focus on Kell and Lila, rather than an increasingly larger cast of characters that the narrative revolves around in the latter books. Giving a pick because overall Schwab wraps things up in a satisfying way.

Kimberlone PS I did finish this yesterday for #slaythatseries! 7y

Trying to get some reading done. Didn't get much done during the #slaythatseries readathon. My son is on a trip to the mountains and my husband has to work. My daughter's out of school and I'm on vacation. Last minute I decided to take a mommy/ daughter beach vacation. Not much reading getting done but we're enjoying great weather and water and I'm teaching her how to play volleyball 🏐! 💙

So I did not #slaythatseries this weekend - only managed to get through 60% of Wizard and Glass (to be fair it is a long-arse book).

Spent Sunday morning doing my tax return, among other important adulting tasks. I get to spend my refund on books, right?

Hooked_on_books Yes, definitely spend it all on books! 💸📚 7y
TieDyeDude Book four is not the longest in the series, but took me the longest to read. A low point in the saga for me, but it gets so crazy from here! 7y
Marchpane @GoodForCirculation good to know the series keeps getting better! I've found each book is better than the one before & am liking W&G quite a lot. 7y
Redheadrambles @Marchpane just started Book 2 and it immediately feels more polished than "The Gunslinger" - but early days 7y
Marchpane @Redheadrambles I definitely think that over time King's writing improved but also that his editors backed off - Book 4 was great but badly in need of a trim. 7y

So #slaythatseries didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. An unscheduled nap yesterday & a planned event that took up most of today limited my progress 😕

However, finishing Nemesis did get me to Mt. Kilimanjaro for #MountTBR 🙌🏻🙌🏻

And with The Devil's Star, my next aim is El Tor.

I'll be working on Harry Hole for the rest of the month. And maybe next weekend will be my own #slaythatseriesreadathon 😉

DGRachel Sounds like progress to me! 7y
Sweettartlaura @DGRachel You'd think so... But there are still a LOT of unread books in my house 😱. I foresee this as a running challenge for another year (or more?😬) 7y
DGRachel I think my unread TBR will outlive me. 😂 7y
