Another great read! I found the beginning to be a bit slow for me, but once I got into it, this book really took off. The mystery, the fantasy elements, and the suspense of what was going to happen next had me roped in. There's a horribly sad scene in here, but I think it was well done. Also, there is a dog in this story. I won't say to much, but he is such a funny and strong dog. If you like books about adventure then this might be for you?

A title with #Roses from my stacks. It‘s been quite a while since I read this one but I‘ve always liked the cover image. 🌹♥️🌹
This is a difficult book ton review (and to read.) TW for incest and child abuse, I almost gave up on it early on. But Price‘s prose is strong and he manages to make the protagonist, if not lovable, at least pitiable. You have to get all the way to the end to understand why Price is so relentless with details, yet it still leaves a darkness and ick factor that I didn‘t expect from him. Pick for the prose & voice; pan for the protagonist.

Such a good family story wrapped in a mystery with a great cast of characters 🥰 Harvey's novels always make me want to jump in the pages and hang out everyone!

The book event in St Louis was great! Here I am with my daughters & Kristy Woodson Harvey, whose book launched this week. We had fun meeting Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, and Patti Callahan Henry as well! Meg Walker & Ron Block were there also!
