pickAnother stellar entry in the series. While I'm gleeful to continue on to see how various characters develop further in the next book, I'm also relieved to have certain answers and see certain arcs completed in this one.
As I've come to expect, there are bonkers happenings, heartbreakingly human moments, and some damn creepy shit. 1/?

1. I don‘t know if I can pick a favorite, but this year we had a blast at the museum in Gateway Arch National Park.
2. I love this series, and I wish The Essex Witch Museum was a real museum I could visit. I have 2 books left to finish the series, hopefully this year!

Weird things are happening: A student falling at Stella's feet. A man(?) following Banecroft. Hannah meeting her teenage crush. Manny wearing trousers. A ghoul, not in the attic. A Kitty. And lots of celebrities.

pickA new assistant editor is starting at The Stranger Times while Hannah takes up a therapy retreat in an attempt to reconcile with her ex-husband. A conspiracy theorist wrongly identified as a columnist for the paper is kidnapped.
Very funny as usual, but unfortunately I didn't remember enough of what had happened in the previous books to always follow what was going on.
No sooner did my mind begin drawing certain Thursday Murder Club vibes comparisons than the author made Osman the subject of a 'theory'. 😆
I think if you love both Terry Pratchett and Richard Osman, you should give this series a try. 1w
I was concerned the somewhat split narrative would take away from the group dynamic, but there's definitely still smaller group clusters of chaos running about the place, and the earlier segmentation of the team makes the end even better. 1w
