I have liked Asha and was glad to finally read her story. But this... I just couldn't relate to main characters.

I was disappointed how almost nothing happened and then there were suddenly Claire's POV and it felt like filler. This was repetitive.

I finally met the most unlikable narrator you can imagine. If your partner gets a brain injury I can't understand how someone could blaim that person for that. You would think it's your part to support and help that person but MC decided immediately to have a pity party like it would be her partner's fault that he had lost his memories.

There seems still to be things that you don't know about this world!

TheSpineView Great job! I have the first book in this series on hold at the library. Excited to start a new to me series! 2y
PageShifter @TheSpineView I wish you happy reading! The first one wasn't as good as the second but most love the series from the beginning so it might have been only me 🤣 2y
Librarybelle Yikes! A very unlikeable character! 2y

I do have a soft spot for these books. I love them. This one deals w a couple, one of which has amnesia and how they come back together.

When Breath Becomes Air | Paul Kalanithi

Read this for a upcoming book club but admittedly it had been on my shelf for quite awhile and I had always been hesitant to read since I knew the gist of it. I did cry a couple times. I figured I would. I‘m really excited to see what the other members will think of it.
Also the widow looks to be dating another memoirist widow now?

Last year my uncle passed away in December from a rare form of sarcoma. My aunt gave my mom two of his t-shirts to make ornaments for family to remember him by, featuring a turtle just like the tattoo he got when he beat the cancer the first time. It turned out beautifully and was a wonderful unexpected surprise in the mail.

Chrissyreadit It is beautiful! 3y

I loved this, as with all the others. It was a little quieter, since Stacy isn‘t an adventurous person. But I really like her, and I enjoyed reading about her and Pashov. I see a lot of myself in her, and how I would be if I was in that world!

Mario asks, “Mother, why do we cry?” His mother thinks for a moment, and then begins to tell him about the many reasons for our tears…

What an absolutely beautiful picture book!

🦄 Classic favorite is Tortall, by Tamora Pierce, adult favorite is Signal Bend Saga by Susan Fanetti.
🦄 Relish is gross
🦄 No hardcore fears, but i absolutely hate walking up water slide stairs. Freaks me right out.
🦄 2 cute little brothers
🦄 Hi, my littens♥️

AkashaVampie Same here for the phobias... I get cold chills when I go over train tracks. Weird I know 5y
theresidentromantic @AkashaVampie Not at all, sometimes train tracks definitely get a little shivery, especially if you think about their slave labor origins in any country. 5y
