pickCute, cute, cute. I usually enjoy Tessa Dare books, and this one was no exception. I read it in one sitting on a flight. The characters charmed me; even the self-proclaimed “brooding” duke tended to view life through a lens of sardonic humor, despite his self-consciousness over his scars. The heroine, Emma, is the type I like: willing to make the best of life despite obstacles. Definitely worth the time! #romance #tessadare #NoInstaLove

pickThings I loved about this book:
1. Ash. He's such a man: arrogant, entitled, cynical - the ultimate Duke. Beneath that brash exterior hides such a good heart though - plus vulnerability.
2. Emma. Sassy, knows what she wants, is not intimidated by the Duke.
3. Storyline. Loved it!
4. The writing. Beautiful writing that made me pause to appreciate the way the words were strung together.
