I really wanted to like this. There have been so many great reviews, and I was excited to read it. I only stuck with it because I thought it would get better. Found it weird, unsettling, and depressing, and I‘m not even sure I could explain the plot to anyone because I don‘t really think I understand it myself. #LitsyAtoZ #TheLetterM

So the world is rocked by an epidemic called the Georgia Flu in the aftermath a traveling band of musicians and actors travel the apocalyptic country to perform but it‘s sooo much more than that. I really didn‘t think I was going to make it through this one. The abuse of the main character, Turtle, at the hands of her father was graphic and so real. What kept me reading was the author‘s ability to be inside the mind of this young girl as she tries to survive just her daily life. It breaks every piece of my heart to know that there are children in our world that are facing these same circumstances. Difficult and emotional read. #TheLetterM

Not much I enjoy more than finding a new series that I love. This was my first Tracy Crosswhite mystery, but it won't be my last. Lots of suspense, interesting characters and even a twist that I didn't see coming. What more could you want if you are a mystery/thriller junkie like me? #24in48 #LitsyAtoZ #TheLetterM
