I joined a book club at work and I‘m realizing how infrequently I read adult literary fiction. So many big words lol. If you like memoir, family drama, mix with lots of shorter life stories woven together you‘ll like this. #bookclub

My time as a student is coming to a close, I‘ll be graduating with my MLIS and graduate certificate in archives in December. I didn‘t stop between my grad and undergrad so it‘s been a long time since I haven‘t had homework. I want to work in an archives but I‘m open to all opportunities in libraries, archives, museums, nonprofits etc. any advice for emerging professionals? Any books that helped you in a job search? #jobhunt #libraries #archives

What a great audiobook! The narrator had great inflection and presence for each character and no two sounded alike. A good gothic vibed mystery that wasn‘t predictable.

Right in my wheelhouse (survival, apocalypse scenarios) Some points made me gasp and reminded me why I will never live in California lol

What a lousy reading month :/ the kind when even the shortest book takes weeks to finish. School and work has me busy, here‘s to March being better :)

Some days working at a public library is thankless but then one little thing happens that just warms my cold heart lol . I helped a little girl and her mom find a book today with little to go on, after a few minutes I turned my computer screen “does this look like the book?” Her face lit up and as I looked up the call number her mom said “she‘s a librarian and used her magic to find your book”.

Which one to tackle first?? (Procrastinating my homework 🤫)

Feeling inspired by my newest read. A.J Jacobs commits to life experiments in his books and is trying to be the healthiest man alive. Going system by system he tries to follow all the conflicting advice about health. He‘s a humor writer and that‘s what I enjoy about it. I loved his book “The Year of Living Biblically” and have read it multiple times. #breakfast #funnybooks #health

So the world is rocked by an epidemic called the Georgia Flu in the aftermath a traveling band of musicians and actors travel the apocalyptic country to perform but it‘s sooo much more than that. I don‘t have any sisters so I loved reading about the Song sisters incredible bond. This was so cute and just what I needed to kick off another year of reading.

Eli and his family are living in a compound prepared for them by the patriarch of household. After escaping what they are told was a nuclear blast they live in an underground compound for 6 years. I just really like survival/apocalypse scenarios.

What a smart little book. An intriguing mystery so complex and exciting as well. Highly recommend for kids and adults

Happy #ReadABookDay book 1 of saga on hoopla is keeping me company while I feel sick. First read of an adult graphic novel and I‘m enjoying the sci-fi adventure aspects.

Picked this up on a recommendation from Hannah on her booktube channel ‘a clockwork reader‘. Only 100 pages in and it‘s a wonderful, comforting, and intriguing story I don‘t want to end.

Anybody else have these board game calendar stores that have some books at ridiculously reduced prices? I love that I got these all for $9!!

It‘s been a long week but finally I can read in bed. Listening to nature sounds on Spotify makes this all the more immersive.
