TorieStorieS Ah, can you still smell the books through a mask?? Although I don‘t mind wearing a mask and gloves, I do miss shopping in person and supporting local businesses! But I‘m excited to have rebooked a mini road trip with my cousins to celebrate Indie Bookstore Day on their new date in August! Hopefully we won‘t have to cancel again! 4y

I listened to the audio back in February but now I‘m reading for bookclub next week. And since restrictions have been lifted we are allowed to meet in an outdoor setting as long as we wear our masks and stay 2 meters apart. #TheNewNormal 😷💙

Cinfhen I think it‘s good that life is starting to ease back @LiteraryinLititz we‘re only a group of 6 and we‘ve all been isolating at home, so I‘m not really anxious about exposure .... the plan is to meet at one of the bookclub ladies backyard but if any member objects we will switch back to Zoom 4y

We‘re here. We‘re good. Maya‘s cough is getting better. We‘re making today all about having FUN. For me, that‘s taking a walk and reading. For Dr. Hubby it‘s doing yard work and playing VR. For Maya it is binge watching a Netflix show and working on a puzzle with us.

How are you doing today?

MaGoose My mom and I are doing well, although my mom is getting cabin fever. She's 99 and has a heart condition, so she hasn't been out of the house much over the past weeks since the coronavirus pandemic has ramped up. I tried to get her to knit or do a jigsaw puzzle, but no luck there. Not sure how I can keep her occupied. Me, I could always amuse myself ever since I was 4 when I learned to read and got a pair or roller skates for my birthday. 😎 4y

PurpleTulipGirl I was doing mostly fine till Oregon‘s governor said last night that there may be a stay home order next week. When I realized I‘d have to give up my weekly knitting group, it became harder to stay positive. It‘s my time each week when I get to put aside work concerns. 4y

alisiakae @MaGoose Your mom sounds like a spunky soul. 😊 If she would appreciate an ecard from a random stranger, Maya and I would be happy to email her a note! @LiteraryinLititz They said it would take up to 5 days, the labs are starting to experience a backlog here. The only one under quarantine until the results are back is Maya, unless hubby or I develop any symptoms. 4y

alisiakae @LiteraryinLititz Although hubby is logging into the hospital system about every 2 hours to see if the results are there. 😂Bonus of having a physician in the house.! 4y

alisiakae @PurpleTulipGirl It is very hard, but it is so important for everyone to social distance right now. Hospitals are already facing supply shortages, things could get much worse unless we all do our part to flatten the curve. Has your knitting group considered a virtual meet up? If you want any guidance on using a platform like Zoom, I would be happy to help! 4y
