I posted a book already for today's prompt. However, this song was the first thing to come to my mind and now it is stuck in there. Decided to share with you.

I‘ve never read any other rockstar bios, but I love Tom Petty, so I figured I‘d give this a shot. Zanes does a fine job telling Petty‘s story, focusing more on Petty the frail human being instead of Petty, the drug-fueled rockstar. The last third sorta zips over his career, maybe because Petty was still alive when the book was written, so maybe it was tougher for Zanes to approach it from a distanced viewpoint. Overall, a satisfying read/listen.
My snow day reads. Enjoying the last few days with the Christmas decorations up. #wanderingthroughwutheringheights #pemberlittens
⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a teen, Petty found respite from his father‘s abuse by penning songs and making music. Gainesville was a burgeoning music scene in the late 60s/early 70s, birthing many successful acts. It‘s where bassist Tom Petty form the locally popular Mudcrutch. As we know, he eventually found commercial success with The Heartbreakers. This comprehensive biography presents Petty‘s prolific decades-long career, family tumult, friendships, and drugs.

My “It‘s gonna be May” display! I love my job!! #SundayLibrarian #LitsyLovesLibraries
@MrBook I think displays are way too much fun! Would you agree?
I absolutely loved hearing Warren Zanes speak about writing Petty: The Biography. It is one of the best biographies I've ever read! So much interesting information about one of my all time favorite artists. It was really cool meeting him and chatting with him for a few minutes too. He said he thinks he'd like to move here. That would be awesome!
Warren Zanes‘ spoke at the Alabama Book Festival today. Listening to him talk about riding the Petty biography was very entertaining. He had some fascinating stories about the music industry in general.
1. tagged book!
2. too many to count but I'm sticking with Petty, Pearl Jam, Otis Redding, Whiskey Shivers, Sara Bareilles.
3. Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick and my first Pearl Jam concert 😀🎉
4. Haim's the Wire.
