lowkey boring but still cute i guess
My classroom library is ready…not so sure I am.
I would like to go out on a limb and say that Ace was my dream boy and I thank Tashie for him. I felt like the romance was a little planned but overall 👌🏼♥️. I loved it. I also loved to see a book that as a MC that suffered from anxiety. Not something you see everyday. ⭐️4
It‘s between Pinned by Sharon G. flake and The Boy on Cinnamon Street by Phoebe Stone for the first romance book I remember. Both are very sweet! @MidnightBookGirl @kimmypete1 #Swoonathon
I am intrigued by the way in which parents on Park supercharge every moment of their child‘s life with purpose and drive. I spent most of my childhood feeding guppies and letting my fickle cats in and out of the house.
I appreciate what this author was trying to do: shed light on brown girls who struggle with mental health & unhealthy cultural dynamics. But man, this was not it for me. The friendships were basically the only part that I liked — they were chock full of depth & joy & seriousness & witty AF banter. Everything else was cringey, stale, or both. The romance was too perfect, & the plot/pacing was soooo slow. Important premise, meh execution. ★★☆☆☆.
It‘s been a minute since I‘ve had access to WiFi/cell service, so I‘m sorry this is so late. This is my very late and very small June reading wrap up. 🙂

Okay, Ace was like preternaturally self-composed and supportive for a 16 year old boy, but his and Karina's love is TRUE and I ADORE it. #yalit
Good old times - handing out dictionaries in school. I am looking forward to a regular school year after the summer break. #teachersgoals
I‘m alive, I swear!! School‘s been hitting really hard this semester, so I haven‘t gotten a chance to do any reading for me. I‘m in two writing enriched courses (think 3-5 page essays a week), anatomy class part 2, working 3 jobs, and I just joined a sorority. That should change this week, though, because I‘ll be working box office for my uni‘s production of a modern Pride and Prejudice! I‘m very excited, and it gives me time to read.
