I have heard pretty good things about its movie, but I have been betrayed far too many times by movies adapted from books. In the end apart from the name and the ghost of a plot, nothing is left similar. And I don't think I am ready to be disappointed by this one, will read it at least once again before watching it.

Metaphoric I agree. It‘s a rare thing for me to like a movie of a book I‘ve read. Always a disappointment. I suppose my brain likes the imagery it imagines more than someone else‘s. 6y

Fudgezilla @Metaphoric Exactly. Moreover movies tend to change the timelines and sometimes even whole events. Like that movie on Ready Player One 😣 but fault was mine, for having high hopes for the movie 6y

AllenTStClair @Fudgezilla I agree for the most part about books adapted into movies....but I ADORED this book and LOVED the movie. I highly recommend watching it. They changed (in my mind) unimportant things only. And if you watch it and don‘t like it, you can blame me. 🤣 6y

Currently reading. Fell in love with the series when I started reading it to the point that I have been reading all the books in the series back to back and still there's some amount of interest left, enough to at least complete the series, but let's be honest, it's gotten old now. Still, great concept, makes you think. Definitely not anything run of the mill. But yeah, a trilogy might have been better...
