Mad | Chloe Esposito

Pickpick

Love or hate as much as you can, but indifference for "Mad" is not an option.
Prepare yourselfs for a non conventional thriller in spite of being rated as one. Chick literature, erotic fiction and even humour are genres that define and embody this book.
Mad, the book's title, perfectly matches with Alvie Knightly, the dark humour's queen and our main character.
From now on, all we can do is to wait for "Bad", the second book of the trilogy. #mad

“Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine" is just another perfect choice.
Hilarious Eleanor is that kind of character you may either love or hate, but you will never be indifferent. What looked like to be another trivial romance without any news, became a pretty good surprise and a story that deeply touched me. #review #gailhoneyman #eleanoroliphantiscompletelyfine #book #books #bookreview #bookcover

Problem at Pollensa Bay | Agatha Christie

Panpan

"Problem at Pollensa Bay" wasn't, by no means, one of my favourites from Agatha Christie.
In spite of being a book that brings us together several Christie's characters, such as Hercule Poirot, Parker Pine, Mr. Satterthwaite and Mr. Quin, these short stories don't have depthness and lack a lot of details.
Nevertheless, she is and she will still be one of my favourite authors. #bookreview #agathachristie #book

Small Memories | Jos Saramago

In this work, "Pequenas Memórias", José Saramago brings us a piece of his young himself.
In spite of his characteristic and pleasurable prose, and due to an intentional rigor non chronological, I missed a leading thread in the author's memories. #josesaramago #portugueseauthors #nobelprize #bookreview #smallnemories

The Postman: A Novel | Antonio Skrmeta
post image
Pickpick

"The Postman" of Antonio Skármeta is a touching and humorous novel involved in Pablo Neruda's timeless poetry. Undoubtedly, what I liked the most about this novel was the relationship and the dialogues between Mario Jimenez and the poet Neruda. Nevertheless and as far as I am concerned there is a lack of historical context about the political situation of the time, in Chile. #thepostman #review #pabloneruda #antonioskarmeta #chile

Simply put, I just loved it. This psychological thriller is extremely well structured and captured my entire attention from the first few words. The storyteller is a quite intriguing character, who generates uncertainty and doubt until the end.
I look forward to read the second book of "The Collector", the trilogy where this thriller belongs. #butterflygarden #dothutchison #thriller #bookthriller #book #suspense #bookcover

Authored by Nicola Yoon, "The Sun is also a Star" brings us a love story of two young teenagers who crossed their paths by accident. Her second novel has a very light and easy reading with its small chapters and meaningful dialogues. Beyond that, the book provides us a beatiful message of hope in love. #nicolayoon #novel #youngadult #thesunisalsoastar #lovebook

Milk and Honey | Rupi Kaur

Mehso-so

Milk and Honey, written by Rupi Kaur, was my debut in poetry.
I have to admit I was not and I am still not an unconditional fan of poetry.
Nevertheless, the publisher "Lua de Papel" hit the nail on the head when they launched this special edition which was carefully split into different chapters with several poems always accompanied with wonderful illustrations. #poetry #rupikaur #milkandhoney #coverbook #review #itsbookoclock
