This book is about the 4 personality types being red, blue, green and yellow. It's an interesting read for anyone who has taken the test and knows what colour/s they are. This is also an interesting read for anyone wanting insights into how to have the best interactions and obtain the best results from people⭐⭐#thomasserikson #surroundedbyidiots #goodreads #vermillionmassmarket #thestorygraph #getlitsy #tea_sipping_bookworm #bookqueen #bookstagram
⭐️⭐️⭐️ While it feels a bit too obvious, I did find it helpful and was thinking about the “combinations” I work with (including myself)
If you think you‘re surrounded by idiots, then perhaps you are the idiot…you can‘t expect everyone to be/act like you, so it‘s beneficial to seek to understand those surrounding you.
Didn't particularly rate this - I found it to be quite dull and patronising. The idea of putting humans into 1 of 4 categories doesn't make much sense to me...and the author acknowledged that in saying that most people are a combination. But then I question what the book is really saying beyond 'people are different and we should be aware of that'? Not a bad read if you want some advice on how to respond when encountered with certain traits
I wanted to read this book, and it‘s companion “Surrounded by Psychopaths,” because I thought they would help me prepare for interviewing for new jobs after my job in Dallas can no longer be done remotely (from 1,100 miles away). I was enjoying it until I went looking for tests to verify which “color” I was. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Well, this is a disappointment. I was so looking forward to reading about how not to be manipulated, but it turns out Erikson is a conman. I‘m sorry I gave him money now.

Theese are the different personality colors you learn about in the book. Blue: analytic, exploring, careful, systematic, precise. Green: stability, patient, loyal, calm, friendly, good listener. Red: dominant, drive, ambicious, strong will, impatient, problem solving. Yellow: inspiaring, out going, open, verbal, creative, positive, emotional. I‘m yellow, what color are you?
Really funny and useful book. Easy to read and it teaches you alot about yourself and your personality type (good and bad) and alot about people around you. It makes it easier to understand why certan people do what they to or react in a certan way. It is also hillarious and very direct. I read it in norwegian, wich was a great translate from the original swedish. Also, very useful graphics in the book!
I was hoping for it to be a little better, but I have gained insight on how to better interact with coworkers and friends as well. Quick read on behavior, and was still worth the read.
“To simplify listening to this book I‘ve chosen to use him and he consistently when I refer to examples not associated to any specific person. I know you have enough imagination to insert a her or a she in your thoughts where this may be appropriate.”
Umm how about they or them? By announcing this, I‘m now very aware of every “he” and “him” and it‘s already grating. 😑

This book explains how to deal with and effectively communicate with someone who is arrogant, among other things.
The book I took to read on an airplane 😂🤷♀️
