I am loving how adorable this book is. It‘s a great little pick me up 😁

I loved everything about this chapter, and am liking this book so far! Bourdain‘s writing is so easy to read and down to earth that I‘ve gotten lost in almost every chapter.
Good book haul at the library‘s “Book Tasting Event” tonight. We got to go through different books in order to “taste” and grade them, took notes on ones we wanted to come back to, and were even allowed to take home free goodies!
Totally engrossed in this book.... and this taco so far. 🌮🍺📚
Finally getting into audiobooks thanks to Libby! This one has got my interest so far and I‘m liking that it‘s read by the author.
Spent a lazy Sunday getting into this one. So far so good, I‘m getting through it quickly so far!
“The liberty of the press consists, in my idea, in publishing the truth from good motives and for justifiable ends, [even] though it reflect on the government, on magistrates or individuals” .... I keep finding things in this book that are still very relevant given everything that‘s going on today. #notthelyingpress #itsnotlibelifitstrue #hamiltonknewwhatwasup
Woah. This paragraph hit a little too close to home considering our current administration. Talk about foresight...
Tonight‘s dinner and read. Alexander Hamilton with homemade turkey chili and cornbread muffins. I was looking for the perfect way to spend this stormy night and I think I found it! I couldn‘t throw away my shot to read this book (there I said it and I‘ll show myself out now lol) #hamilton #dinnerandaread

Decided to check out our library's big annual sale this morning and was not disappointed. Bad news for my TBR stack, and I'm getting dangerously close to needing a bigger bookshelf. But I think I'll be able to live with it. 🙃 #booksonbooks
I was so excited to open this this morning, and @DebinHawaii absolutely nailed it. Thank you so much, I love my gift!#cupidgoespostal @BookishMarginalia
It's the perfect rainy/stormy day here to start this read 👻 I've heard nothing but good things. I'm all cuddled up with tea and a dog, so bring on the ghosts!#itwasadarkandstormyafternoon
"Wholeness cannot be found in the avoidance of troubling feelings...To live without anxiety is to live without growth. We shouldn't try to control what we cannot, and we must take responsibility for our feelings. But the reason for this is to walk out into the world with strength, not to hide from danger."
Just one of the many great lines that jumped out at me in this one!
Pretty good thrift store/rummage sale haul today! #booksonbooks #butitwas99cents #thrifting
Reading novels is fun, but it's time to get back to nonfiction and indulge my history loving side.
"And that was when I saw the envelope." With those words this story takes on a whole new level of complexity, which is probably my favorite part about it!
I saw the play in London recently and loved it. Definitely one of the most intriguing stories I've heard in a long time. I'm excited to finally get my hands on the book!
Definitely scored in the free book department! Slowly making my way through all of Holmes and loving it!
Weekend reading time and liking it so far! I'm a sucker for stories about royalty.
"Each of us is leading a difficult life, and when we meet people we are seeing only a tiny part of the thinnest veneer of their complex, troubled existences. To practice anything other than kindness towards them, to treat them in any way save generously, is to quietly deny their humanity."
