A cute and funny rom-com with just enough heat to make this book spicy! I throughly enjoy Lucy Score‘s books and look forward to reading more of them!
Throughly enjoyed! A cute Rom-Com about a woman, Maggie, who is a YouTube star who flips houses all across the country. Her new project is in a small town in Idaho where she meets the hunky, single landscaper Silas. For Silas, he knows almost instantly, she is the one. Maggie will be harder to convince and she has a rule that she never dates a subs. Besides, she is only there for a few months before she will move on. The plot was solid and the...
I am obsessed with Lucy Score‘s books. I can‘t believe I‘m so late to this train and now I have to read them all as soon as I can. This was another cute romance from Lucy Score that had me crying happy tears. It was just so great and I‘m adding Sy to my book boyfriends and my favorite character was definitely Kevin, the dog. This book was just so great.
My #BookSpin this month was a library choice! This audiobook hold came in today so I decided to go with this one ☺️ @TheAromaofBooks
The first 1/3 was a solid read for me, truly enjoyed being in the shoes of an influencer/home remodeling guru and among some fun sub-characters. But the second two thirds had too many plots going on and the first storyline just didn't hold the same umph for me. Insert once married to a best friend now business partner, rich, distant dad, distant half sister, historical robbery rabbit trail, taking in a teen who is practically...
This has been my favorite summer #audiobook. Lucy Score packs an engaging story full of romance, friendship, family, home renovation, small town and even a little mystery. The pacing is spot on and And Emma Wilder does awesome with narration, truly making each character stand out on their own. Highly recommend this one. #romance #lucystone #emmawilder #contemporary
This was fun to read and I‘m a fan of the trope of sunshine + realist, but the ending is the reason why this isn‘t a full pick. This may make me sound like a cynic, but sometimes I don‘t like it when a book has a “perfect” ending. I love it when characters overcome their differences to be happy, but not proposing to your 3 months girlfriend right after you make up. Plus, every relationship mentioned in the book works out and they all get married.
I only started reading Romcoms during the pandemic as a bit of escapism, but I think this one is my favourite to date. I loved the banter, the home renovation component, the family dynamics, the spice, the bit of a mystery and the ending. I liked that the main couple knew they liked each other, but their different career paths was what led to the conflict... a realistic problem these days. I would love to see this one as a movie. 4.5/5 stars!
4.5/5
Maggie travels around the country flipping houses for her one million YouTube subscribers, and definitely isn't looking to put down roots. Then she takes on her most ambitious project yet in Kinship, Idaho, and her handsome landscape architect, Silas Wright, is immediately interested in changing her mind.
I loved the romance between Maggie and Silas, as well as the mystery behind the Campbell house.
