Yesterday, I received the sweetest surprise box from @macmillan.audio . Upon opening, I unwrapped three audiobook codes for @norarobertsauthor ‘s The Lost Bride series, a tea cozy, a small teacup candle, and a tin of @harneytea Cranberry Autumn tea. There was also a teacup with saucer however the box was badly smashed and it was broken,😞

This was such a nice surprise and as I move next week to Edenton to start my county librarian job.

This is Nora Robert‘s at her best. Some of her latest have been so-so lately (in my humble opinion) but this was a compelling and enthralling read. Who doesn‘t like a little bit of romance with your ghosts. Love the other ghosts besides the brides (Molly and Jack) and freaking love Clover. Who wouldn‘t want their own DJ? All in all, looking forward to the next installment (hopefully my local library has it).

My first Nora Roberts (Bay of Sighs) was such a dud, I didn't expect to read any more books of hers.

My co-worker was reading Inheritance and telling me all about it. It sounded very interesting, so I borrowed it from Libby.

I really liked it!

I picked this book because I needed lace in the #ISpyBingo for January. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors, and she never disappoints. Romance and inheritance with ghosts. Once again Nora Roberts hits every aspect of a great beginning… all the spooky and atmospheric representations of a haunting with aspects of time travel, mirror/mirror, and questionable deaths… I am now immediately reading “The Mirror” I‘m happy I waited… but wish all the books were out because the way this ended I would have cried it such a great way to start the next book

3.5⭐️. I thought this was a little bit crackers but entertaining. The ghosts are somewhat OTT, quite in your face, so I didn‘t find them particularly credible, not that I believe in ghosts really! I wouldn‘t mind the one who does the housework, though. Very handy. It ends on very much a cliffhanger, almost as if a chapter is missing. I will probably read book two, The Mirror, but I‘m not desperate to go out and buy it at the moment.

It‘s a long time since I read a Nora Roberts book! It sounds fun read.

When Sonya catches her fiancee in bed with her cousin, her world quickly deteriorates. When a surprise inheritance from an unknown uncle offers her a new start, she takes it with both hands. But living in a haunted mansion with one ghost that has it out for her family might not be the fresh start she was looking for.
This one didn‘t suck me in like Roberts‘ other books but it was fine. The cliffhanger ending has me eagerly waiting for #2.

Sonya was okay but a bit too perfect to my taste, that made her even feel a bit tasteless/dull. I liked her friend Chloe and adored their friendship.

I would have preferred a bit more mysterious atmosphere, this was more about Sonya's everyday life than revealing old secrets. I still loved the setting.

I don't like cliffhanger endings and after all these pages that was what I got. This still was a decent book.

Peak Nora Roberts contemporary romance ghost story. I cannot wait for the next book!! 5⭐️

This is the first book in the The Lost Bride Trilogy. Sonya is starting over after ending an engagement and leaving her job when an unexpected visitor tells her she has been left an inheritance by her father's twin brother. She is stunned by this news since her father has passed away and had no known siblings since he was adopted. She moves to Maine to live in the manor left to her and begins to learn about her father's strange family history.

I love Nora Robert‘s 📚!! Enjoyed her interview on “Sunday Morning”! (You can find it on YouTube) It really ties in with Nora‘s introduction to Inheritance!! Can‘t stop listening!!! Deception, heart break, new discoveries of family tree, thrown in with an old haunted house! You just have to love Nora‘s ability to weave a fantastic story!

I binged this in a sitting and a half 😄. The character development isn't super great, and there was something weird about the paragraph formatting that confused me, but I love NR. She tells a good story. And omg do I NEED the library she describes in this book! Can't wait for the next one.
