This book looked so adorable but there was really nothing likeable about either character. And you know what, if you‘re going to build a robot in two days that is perfect and capable of having sex then I‘m going to want some scientific details. The whole thing felt like a friend whining about a weird dream they had.

Chapter 6 hit me right away with this quote, “Social connection is a form of nourishment, like food.” Bam! I love that connection. If socializing is like food then we are all, understandably, very different! I don‘t have to socialize like others do, I just need enough to nourish myself. Bonus: the litmus test “Are you there for me” is such a simple way to determine if someone is trustworthy.

I‘m just in love with this middle grade graphic novel about figuring out who you are, how your familial history does and doesn‘t define you. And, of course, how to deal with being a witch. Love!

I walked a mile in a snowstorm for this book and it was worth it! Much like the Illuminae Files, book 2 of this series highlights different characters. So, if you (like me) just wanted to spend time with Grey then book 2 is for you! If you were hoping for heaps of Harper and Rhen then you might not love this as much as I did (which was a lot).

I‘m so mad at myself for starting this series when it wasn‘t finished because I am obsessed. My feelings on Prince Rhen are mixed but I‘m obsessed with Harper. Upon finishing, I immediately walked a mile down the street through the snow on Friday and bought the second book.

I was so excited by chapter 1 that I zoomed through chapter 2 and d to re-read it. “The Monitor” was a difficult concept for me to embrace but once I understood it....mind blown.

(1) what your goal is;
(2) how much effort you‘re investing in that goal; and
(3) how much progress you‘re making.

This was the best nonfiction book I read in 2019 and I re-read it this year to kick off 2020. I‘m hoping it will help me break bad habits the same way it helped me build good ones!

Holy moly this was good. I liked Elton John well enough before listening to this book but now I find myself a huge fan of him as a person and cannot wait to listen to his albums. If you liked Freddie Mercury‘s biography Mercury you will love this book. Taron Egerton does a fantastic narration. I‘m only sorry it‘s over. #audiobooks #audiobooks2020 #lgbtqa #lgbt

Truly a roller coaster of emotions. There were many things I loved, a few things I didn‘t care for, and a burning desire to talk about the whole story.
I need a cup of tea to process all the feelings this love story has provoked.
