This book was a ton of fun. Even in the serious parts he didn‘t take himself too seriously. I loved the snarky comments by and about Rod Stewart and the descriptions of his outfits. #NFNov

I absolutely loved this book! Autobiographies can be hit or miss…this is a definite hit. It‘s a very open and honest book. I love the way he opens up and gets real about himself and his life. I have a new found respect for Elton now. Definitely in my top 5 for 2019.

The first time I met John Lennon he was dancing with Tony King [Apple Records general manager in the US]. Nothing unusual in that, other than the fact they weren‘t in a nightclub, there was no music playing, and Tony was in full drag as Queen Elizabeth II.

Elton John has not led a boring life, so this kept me interested. Performing since he was 15—in a local pub where he escaped out a window whenever fights broke out—and rising to superstardom, recording over 40 albums, throwing spectacular tantrums, going on shopping sprees, dancing with Queen Elizabeth, AIDS charity work, his two marriages, his costumes, recovery from multiple addictions… whew. John reads the 1st & last chapters of the #audiobook.

But if Queen‘s most famous song sailed over my head at first, I got Freddie Mercury straight away. From the minute I met him, I loved him. As was tradition, he got given a drag name: Melina, after Melina Mercouri the Greek actress.

I learned how to make cyanotype prints yesterday. #audiocrafting (Also, as usual, listening to a musician‘s autobiography makes me want to listen to their music. Haven‘t figured out how to do both at the same time.)

This was an amazingly insightful autobiography by Elton John! From very humble beginnings to becoming a legend and all the crazy things in between! What a roller coaster of a life he has had. It was amazing read and of course so neat with all the name drops of so many famous artist!

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoy many Elton John songs but I'm not a huge fan. I really thought I'd enjoy the book though and I wasn't dissapointed.

Bucket list item checked off my list! It was an amazing performance and I‘m looking forward to reading the book!

I've been feeling restless and not settling to anything other than trashy romance novels just lately. I've started lots of books and liked them too much to officially bail, but not enough to keep reading and I've got plenty more I haven't started. So what's my solution for my little reading slump? Go the the bookshop and buy more books of course! #BookHaul

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I once high-fived Elton John. Colorado Springs, 2009. True Story. Tiny hands. Anyway, this autobiography is super entertaining! There‘s so much I didn‘t know. With zero sugar-coating, and a lot of humor, Sir Elton takes us through his incredible life. Music, fashion, heartache, addiction, etc. Plenty of name-dropping, which I guiltily devoured. I‘d love to have dinner with him. 👇🏻

This was fabulous!!! A walk through a large history of rock and roll, his own career and all the facets of celebrity. Elton does not hold back and really creates a complete picture of a life without compare.

I preordered this over a month ago and it‘s finally in my hands! I‘m so excited to read this. I love Elton John 😍
