An account of Jeffrey Dahmer‘s high school days as told by one of his high school classmates. Both interesting and creepy, and can be read in one sitting.

#4 in the Throne of Glass series. As good as the previous ones! Some new characters in this one, including new POV characters. I still like Celaena‘s chapters best.
This was both funny and scary, well-written, and just lots of fun. The only other Grady Hendrix I‘ve read is Horrorstor, but I‘d like to read more.
It‘s very sparkly. A kid who has lost some of his memories following a car accident finds himself in a situation where people‘s dreams are coming to life, and it‘s up to him and his friends to help keep them under control. And there‘s an evil drag queen sorceress. It‘s not perfectly written, but it‘s crazy and imaginative and sparkly enough to be worth a read if you think it might be your jam.
A collection of five novellas acting as a prequel to the Throne of Glass series. I couldn‘t decide whether I wanted to read this before or after the main series, so I just read in publication order, putting this between 2 and 3. The five novellas form pretty much a continuous plot. I enjoyed getting some additional backstory, although it was sad knowing that a certain someone wouldn‘t survive.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat! Six high school seniors are locked together in a room -obviously by someone with a grudge - and told they have one hour to pick one of them to kill, or else they will all die.
#2 in the Throne of Glass series. I kind saw the twist at the end coming lol. I like that the magical elements in the story are starting to play a larger role.
A while ago I was in Barnes and noble and stumbled across these adorable miniature editions of the Throne of Glass series, which I had never read. They‘re about the size of my phone! I couldn‘t help myself, I bought the whole series. Sat on my shelf for a couple months and I finally got around to starting it. The first book was great! Very engaging and I read it in just a couple of days. Can‘t wait to read the rest!
Listened to the audiobook. Nice entertaining story, similar feel to Uprooted.
Social distancing activity #19: re-reading Lord of the Rings!
A grisly but entertaining look at several female serial killers throughout history.
Finally finished all of the published Outlander novels. Can‘t wait for the next one to come out!
Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this one. I feel like it didn‘t really have an ending. Like it was building toward something that never happened. But it‘s a short, quick read so I don‘t regret it.
Nice entertaining sci-fi/horror about vicious mermaid-like creatures. Enjoyed this read and want to read more from this author.
My book club is reading The Snowman for December, which is number 7 in the Harry Hole series. So I‘m trying to see how many of the previous books I can squeeze in before The Snowman is “due”. This is the third. The first two were a bit meh, hoping this one will be a little more exciting. I know the Snowman will be good because they made a movie out of it.
Thanksgiving leftovers and a bestselling mystery author, what could be better?
Doing some Black Friday shopping at B&N and couldn‘t resist getting a little something for myself.
Using my day off to make some progress on this thick boy. Loving the Outlander series.
It was pretty decent. The twist at the end was great and didn‘t see it coming; the thing is, it was kind of *all* about the twist. It was a quick easy read that kept me turning the pages; but I can‘t really see myself wanting to read it again.
